A: I believe there is one made especially for a 12 string.

**Q: where are they made?**
A: China

**Q: What is the max neck width?**
A: Just measured and it is about 2 and a quarter inches.  My fretboard isn't quite 2 inches so it protrudes slightly.   Just make sure the shape of the neck works with the shape of the capo.

The spring is sturdy, appropriately strong, and quick and easy to adjust. The adjusting screw is a nice size and easy to use, One side of the squeeze handle has a notch for doing string replacement. The finish is a rich wood grain pattern, and is smooth and pleasing to the touch. It fits perfectly on my instrument, and the grip is comfortable. This capo is slender, looks nice, and works perfectly. I had a bit of trouble with the it on the second fret when I played a C chord, but tightening the adjusting screw fixed it immediately.
