I have a custom brace to use but it cannot be worn over jeans and thus did not always wear it. My knee would often just give out on me and there was constant pain. I watched some videos on placement of tape for a full knee and then put it on myself, the pain relief was instant. I cannot tell you how ecstatic I have been!! Then I decided to use it over areas of the left hip and leg where I have lived with chronic nerve pain post motor vehicle accident in 2002 (pain is like fibromyalgia or diabetic neuropathy). It feels like a constant burning from the hip down. Since then I have been on pain meds for pain management. Bottom line, using this tape over areas that have the most pain has helped. The pain is not completely gone, but I have hopes the use of this tape will help me to eventually have the medications completely gone!! I have used other tapes as well but so far this seems to be the best for the knee area.
