No the headlight does not work, but it is a great little runner. I am pleased with it.

Is this just the train or is there a track that comes with this

No track, just the N scale engine only. However, they do offer it as a train set with coaches on another listing. But, this is just Thomas on his own.

Can i replace the rapido style couplers with the knuckle couplers?

走り・クオリティとも良好

国内ではあまり見かけないバックマンのNゲージです。1/160のため、TOMIXより二回りほど小さい見た目です。しかし走りも思った以上にスムーズですし見た目もよくできています。気になることとすれば、個体差だと思いますが第2動輪がレールと接していないことくらいでしょうか。あと車体の「1」や赤いラインの塗膜が弱く剥がれやすいです。クリアコート吹き付けで対応しましょう。なぜかHOよりも高い(イギリス本国でも100ポンド近い。HOは85ポンドほど)のは謎ですが、TOMIXのトーマスに現状プレミアが付いている以上、買いではないでしょうか。

元気に走る1／160サイズのトーマス

日本国内ではほとんど売られていないと思われる、バックマン製の1／160サイズ、Nゲージ鉄道模型です。トーマスの表情が微妙な模型や玩具が多いのですが、この模型は割と安心できる表情だと思います。チマっとしていますが、よく走る鉄道模型で、短い編成なら簡単にゴードンの丘を越えていけると思います。あとはアニーとクララベルも販売されているようなので、ぜひ購入して走らせて見たいです！
