Absolutely perfect for bicep curls
This barbell is seriously impressive for the price—solid construction, great feel, and the knurling is exactly what I was hoping for. It gives you that confident grip without being too harsh, which really makes a difference during longer sets. I absolutely love the size—it’s perfect for bicep curls, super easy to control, and doesn’t feel bulky or awkward. The bar feels balanced, durable, and holds up great whether you’re lifting light or going heavier. No nonsense, no gimmicks—just a solid bar that delivers. Definitely feels like I scored big without spending big.

Perfect for its Price
I recently purchased the EZ Curl Bar for my home gym, and it has quickly become a staple in my workout routine. Here’s a detailed review of this excellent piece of equipment, highlighting how it has enhanced my fitness regimen.Robust Construction and DesignThe EZ Curl Bar stands out with its solid build quality. Made from high-grade steel, it has a sturdy and durable feel. The knurled grips provide a comfortable and secure hold, preventing any slippage during intense workouts. The angled design of the bar allows for a more natural grip position, reducing the strain on my wrists and elbows. This ergonomic feature has been particularly beneficial in avoiding discomfort and injury, making my workouts more efficient and enjoyable.Versatility in ExercisesOne of the best aspects of the EZ Curl Bar is its versatility. It has opened up a range of exercises that target various muscle groups, making my workouts more comprehensive. Here are some of the key exercises I’ve incorporated into my routine:Bicep Curls: The primary use of the EZ Curl Bar is, of course, for bicep curls. The angled grip allows for a more natural wrist position, reducing the risk of strain and allowing me to lift heavier weights comfortably.Tricep Extensions: The bar’s design makes it perfect for tricep extensions, providing a more comfortable grip and better control during the movement.Upright Rows: I’ve also used the EZ Curl Bar for upright rows to target my shoulders and upper back. The angled grips help maintain proper form and reduce the stress on my wrists.Preacher Curls: Paired with my preacher curl bench, the EZ Curl Bar has been fantastic for isolating my biceps and achieving a more intense pump.Enhancing My Fitness JourneyThe addition of the EZ Curl Bar to my home gym has significantly enhanced my fitness journey. Here’s how:Reduced Joint Stress: The ergonomic design has made a noticeable difference in reducing the stress on my joints, particularly my wrists and elbows. This has allowed me to push harder and increase my weights without fear of injury.Improved Muscle Isolation: The bar has helped me better isolate specific muscle groups, leading to more effective and targeted workouts. My biceps and triceps have seen significant gains since I started using the bar.Increased Workout Variety: The EZ Curl Bar has added variety to my workouts, preventing them from becoming monotonous. This variety keeps me motivated and excited about my training sessions.Convenience and Efficiency: Having this versatile piece of equipment at home means I can perform a wide range of exercises without needing multiple pieces of equipment. This has made my home workouts more efficient and space-saving.Time-Saving Workouts: On busy days, the bar allows me to get in a quick yet effective workout at home, without the need to visit the gym.

Great 4.9ft bar, superb quality!
I'm extremely impressed with this bar so far. I've used it for a few days now and done several exercises with it and have some opinions. To preface this review, I have been lifting for over 15 years now and have a small barbell fleet. Without getting too detailed, have some very nice bars in my opinion, and they consistently rank high in recommendations. What I kept missing was a shorty bar that a gym I used to go years ago had. I finally decided to try and find one of my own.I chose this 4.9ft bar because the shaft diameter is 28mm. The 4ft bar has a 25mm diameter, which is getting in the small side. For those curious, a typical multipurpose training bar will be 28mm. A deadlift bar usually has 27mm diameter, a power bar usually has a 29mm diameter, and a hybrid bar is usually 28.5mm diameter.Just keep in mind that a smaller diameter bar forces the pressure in to a smaller area, I mention this for people who are thinking about a shorty bar for hip thrusts. One might think the 3mm difference from 25mm to 28mm isn't that noticeable, but it's very noticeable to me going from bench press with a 29mm bar to deadlifts on my 27mm bar - and that's only a 2mm difference. Also, the loadable sleeve area is a lot less on the 4ft bar, so you can't load it up as much. Just two things to keep in mind. There can certainly be a good case for the smaller bar too, but I think most people would like this 4.9ft bar over the 4ft. bar. However I do wish we could have gotten some fun colors on the 4.9ft bar.So, I have used this bar for RDLs, and hip thrusts primarily. I threw it in to a landmine and it is not good for landmine work. The lever arm is too short, creating unfavorable angles for pressing overhead or t bar rows. You could definitely overhead press, and deadlift with this bar though, as long as your strength doesn't need to exceed the bar's weight capacity of 500lbs.The fit and finish were very nice. As other reviews mentioned the bar has a noticeable coating of oil on it to prevent oxidization I'm sure. I just wiped it down with a paper towel, I'm not too concerned with getting it bone dry. When I do barbell maintenance I use 3-in-1 oil on my other bars. The shipping tube was very impressive. Protected the bar well. I would recommend to Lions cool to screw or staple the end-caps in though. After sitting in the heat of the sun from the shipper, the adhesive on the tape apparently melted and when opening the box, the end cap literally slipped right off like the tape wasn't even there. This could cause issues in the future, and mine may have even slipped at one point because one end of the box was blown out already. The sleeves spin nicely and I'm honestly surprised there are bearings in this bar (I haven't opened the end caps yet to verify but see no reason to doubt). Bearings just increase the complexity and cost. Bushings only would be fine, in my opinion. If you're doing cleans and snatches, you're probably going to want a different full sized bar anyways, chiefly because the knurling doesn't go all the way to the sleeves anyways. This is common with many less expensive bars and honestly it doesn't need it anyways. While this bar doesn't honestly really fit in a modern squat rack or power cage, you could technically load it up on the j-cups with some light weight for some light weight high volume squats, or some good mornings. I would not recommend bench pressing this bar in this manner though.Tolerances seem nice and tight and I'm overall just really impressed with this bar.I highly recommend this bar if you want a smaller bar for tight spots, or want a easy to load bar for hip thrusts and RDLs. Or even doing some "power bar" lifts (bench, OHP, deadlift, and squat), as long as you realize the limitations.

Awesome bar
This 2 inch bar is super nice and sturdy. It is silent and I love the colour. The plates I order fits perfectly. The black coating seems to be rust resistant. This bar does not curl

Great for the money
Great smaller bar bell, my wife likes it for walking lounges, hip thrusts and curls. A normal one is to awkward. Made really well, still heavy and durable.

Excellent weight bar and plates
Excellent quality on the bar and plates. I would have given it 5 stars if the plates didn't have that nasty Chinese rubber smell. You'll have to clean the bar because it comes with a lot of oil on it to avoid corrosion. The plates should also be cleaned too to help get rid of the smell.
