Such a great movie to share with elementary aged kids and older.It is autobiographical so depicts some difficult situations in Dolly Parton’s life.Schoolyard bullying and skipping school is shown. Death of a baby (and of another mother) and corporal punishment is heard in dialogue but not shown directly.Women gossip openly. Not “sleeping together” is alluded to and might cause some questions.Smoking cigarettes is visualized. Dolly’s character is very sassy, but is held accountable.Overall, real-life family situations with great morals makes for a wonderful movie.This family didn’t have money, but they sure loved and supported each other so it is overall wholesome and lovely to see.Actors are great, especially little Dolly and Jennifer Nettles as Mom. Loved their singing.Definitely worth your time to watch and enjoy.

Good video quality, heartwarming story, but I need subtitles. I don't understand why anyone would make a DVD without subtitles.
