Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Set 6-Piece Random Collection

I use this polish a lot and know that some colors are easier to work with, last longer, and dry faster than others. Overall I like this polish and give it a 4 in general.I've also purchased a 6 pack from another online retailer that shink wraps the 6 together and then ships it in bubble wrap, no issues with breakage by that method. This time buying from Amazon seller, the polishes were only wrapped in bubble wrap and the red polish was broken. Not sure when the break occurred but the red is pretty much dried on the other bottles and wrap was in tact.In case you're wondering what colors were sent I've included a pic.

The Good: Packaging was well done. Lots of layers of bubble wrap kept everything from clanging into each other. Nothing broken. Also, the shipping was supposed to be much slower and I got it fast. So kudos to the seller/USPS on that one!The Bad (for now): I got dupes on #330 - Redgy. I've contacted the seller and will update once I receive a response. It's a great color but I don't need two bottles of it.Yes, I understood this to be a random assortment of 6 however there is an implication that I would receive 6 different colors. Based on my interaction with the seller I will amend my review.The Fair: Even if I don't receive a replacement, this is still a good deal for someone who doesn't have a lot of colors in their collection and likes the Miracle Gel product line. It's like a mini adventure. The rest of these colors look great (in their bottles). I'm eyeing that mint for my next selection. Also, I put matte top coat on to dull the shiny so matte mint sounds delightful.

I gave a 4 star because I have ordered this before and they keep sending the same colors. It would be nice if you had a choice. The nail polish is nice though.

Update: I ordered a couple of months ago and love the set of 6 I got. Then I ordered again thinking I'd get at least slightly different ones. Nope! I got the exact same shades again. And I mean EXACTLY the same shades as last time. So no, I wouldn't call it "random" by any stretch of the imagination and no, I'd not order this set of polish again. I like it but not enough to get a third set of the exact same polish again.The set I received had 3 bottles that were various shades of pink (#419, #279,#339), a light green (Prince Char-mint #754), Scarlet red (#429), and Head Bang (#199). Out of the 6, I can honestly say that I love the scarlet red, the light green and the wonderful chocolate color of Head Bang. I didn't get the top coat I requested and was hoping for but I'm okay with that because if I only really liked 2 of the colors I'd have already gotten my moneys worth. When you order this you have to keep in mind, you may not like the colors you get because you are letting someone else pick what you end up with. I am a darker skinned person but I love wearing all colors, no matter the shade, and you kind of have to have that mindset before ordering this. At the same time, keep in mind the cost of one bottle of this polish. It's totally worth it to me if all I have to buy separately is the topcoat. Honestly, if I knew I could get a whole different set of colors, I'd order another random set even if I only get 2 or 3 that I totally love. It's worth it.

A friend of mine had recommended the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Polish to me, promising me that it was the best nail polish she ever had. As a nail polish addict with limited funds, I was intrigued by the recommendation, yet saddened by the $10 price tag in stores. I bought the 6-piece random color collection from Beauty Brags since it was such a deal (60% in-store prices) and I like the idea of being surprised by the colors I would receive. I was not disappointed! I received a classy creme, light blue, pink, peachy orange, green, and fun sparkly gold color! After a few trial and error runs, I was able to optimize the application to get my longest lasting nail color yet! If you apply a hefty base coat as well as the Miracle Gel brand top coat, you can make your nails last close to a full week before your first chip, and then a quick reapplication will make them last a whole other week! (My job is not very friendly to my nails either!) Tip: putting the Miracle Gel top coat over your cheap $2 polishes will also help you squeeze an extra few days out of those colors. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to a friend.

Slightly disappointed that the colors I received are not included in the photo. I thought the choice of colors sent would be a selection from the photo not just random colors that are not included in the photo. Nothing compares to the quiet boost you get from a fresh manicure. It just makes you feel pretty and put together. However my manicures only last about a day and then I would get in the shower to get ready for the next day and POOF! The polish would crack and peel away. All that time to paint your nails, two coats of color with 15 minutes in between to dry and a top coat that takes 20 minutes to dry. All that time and it only lasts one day if your lucky. What a waste of time! Well gel colors have changed all that and Sally Hansen has not only made a good one but it's also affordable. Gel coats will last any where between 7 to 14 days. Sally's gel also need no annoying light to activate the gel, however be sure to purchase and apply the Sally top coat or the gel will not activate and it will last less time than regular polish.

4 stars for not being my favorite colors. It would be great that topcoat was included if I didn't have one. It arrived tightly packaged, only abuse in transit could have damaged the bottles. I will use it all because this polish protects my nails wile being easy to apply, touch up, and remove. 6 bottles for the price of less than 2 is a great value. I can always layer colors I don't love with a shear or metallic 2nd coat.
