Speck Products SmartFlex Card Case for iPhone 5 & 5S - Pomodoro Red

I have owned the CM4 wallet case on my iPhone 4s for over a year. It has worked perfectly, has worn very well (still looks great!) and has been a great case. When I upgraded to the iPhone 5 last week, I decided to try the Speck wallet case, mostly because it was $15 cheaper than the CM4 case, and because one complaint I did have about the CM4 case was that it held the credit cards in tight (good, right?) but almost TOO tight. I got my Speck wallet case 3 days ago. It looks great, not as fancy as the CM4 case which has a leather look, but actually I like the look and feel of this case BETTER than my CM4 case. It has a smooth, nice feel to it. I also disagree with other reviews on here that talk about how "hard" the buttons are to push through the case cover. Don't know what they are talking about, because I don't have any problems. Best of all, whether I stick 1 card or 3 cards into the wallet, the case holds the cards perfectly, without being too loose when carrying 1 card or too tight when carrying 3 cards. Not so with the CM4 case, which took some work just to "un-stick" the credit cards when I needed to access it - and that was just with 2 cards in it! But with this case I can get the cards in and out much easier than with the CM4 case - love it! I give this "5-stars" because the cost, protection, feel and wallet function is perfect, much better than the higher-priced CM4, which was my wallet case of choice until I got the Speck.

Best case I've ever owned. Out of the box it holds 2 cards and a few bills comfortably, after a couple months of using it and repeatedly cramming waaay too many bills/cards into it...the case still holds a single card alone, safe and securely. I don't worry about my cards/cash when I go out. Yes it adds a little bulkiness to the iPhone 5s, especially if ya load it up, but it's the thinnest profile case I've found and it doesn't weigh my shorts/jeans down. Using the case is easy, especially if you sandwich your bills between your id and debit card and insert/remove them all together each time. If the bills end up on the outside of your card sandwich, it can take some maneuvering to get it back out. Fortunately, even that's not very hard. When I'm out, I tend to keep my ID/cards in the case and let the cash hang loose for easy access. Can't hold up the bartenders too much! The case doesn't come with a front/screen protector but I honestly haven't needed it (and I've definitely dropped it repeatedly over the last few months)! The edges of the case stick out from the screen enough to protect it from every hit I've thrown at it. It's only vulnerable if you drop it directly on something with a point, like a rock...but I can't think of any case that isn't vulnerable to that. I thought this was my answer to my "going out wallet" for the bars/clubs but it ended up being my main, everyday wallet....it's really slimmed down the bulk and I won't get another case for a WHILE!

I chose a 4 out of 5 stars because although this is a very good case, it is not perfect. GOOD: The card slot option is perfect, can really not complain. There is a little hump inside that keeps all the cards secure regardless if it's 1 or 3 cards.The protection seems well, I can't really complain about the material. I have had many compliments by my peers about this case. It protects, it holds cards well, looks very slick and is also not very bulky. BAD: The reason it's 4 stars is because of the minimal protection it has for the front side of the phone. Granted, most phone cases don't have a lot of screen/front coverage. Also, the Power Button on top is a little annoying because there is a lot of stiff material between you and the button. I had to use an X-ACTO knife to make the material covering the power button a little more flexible. With that slight modification, the use of the power button is a lot easier! This case would definitely be 5 stars if it wasn't for the excessive material they put on top of the power button. CONCLUSION: I really like this case and would definitely recommend it to iPhone users who want that card slot option without sacrificing aesthetics and protection. For someone who has been looking and looking for a case that is not only fairly priced, but meets all my specifications, I must say I am really satisfied with my purchase.

I would definitely recommend this case (in fact, writing this review b/c I just recommended it to a friend, and figured, why not? I always base my purchases off reading customer reviews, so might as well write one every so often). This same brand provided a really good case for my iphone 4s, and just like it's ancestor, this case is great for my 5s. It protects the phone well (a little too well tbh, I have gotten too confident and been careless, dropping it everywhere too often). Thanks to this case my phone is somehow still standing strong with no scratches or cracks. it’s not as good protection as an otter box defender series, obviously, but it is a compromise that you have to pay for the slimness and usefulness of the wallet. I holds 3 cards, which is perfect for my student id, credit card, and medicine card. I got it off amazon b/c I have prime and it is really convenient to not have to go hunt for a case at the mall that cost 3x as much but would never protect my phone as well (unless they sell these babies at the mall, not sure if they do...but they probably cost 3x as much anyway). Ladies, it's not the cutest, but the black looks fine. Think more plain Jane (sorry Jane), not ugly at all if you are worried about that. The color doesn't clash with anything, and your phone will thank you for it. It's also great for parties where you have to bring your phone AND an id and a credit card/some cash (no more trying to stuff them all separately in your bra - well, maybe just the phone, but hey, it is easier than having the cards on one side and the phone on the other)!

I love the Speck card case! I live in a very urban setting and never carry cash. I always have my phone with me. This made perfect sense. I have an iPhone 5S, and apps on it for most everything I do. My Starbucks card, shopping card, insurance card etc. is all on my phone, so there is absolutely no need for me to carry these individual cards around with me in a traditional wallet. This case allows me to have my phone and three cards (even a couple of bills) all in one piece. I carry my drivers license, credit card and faculty identification card. The case provides effective protection for my phone, while being very slight and not adding very much weight. In fact, because it's black, most people don't realize that I have a case on my phone. This case would be perfect for anyone in a similar situation as me. Live downtown and never carry a bunch of stuff around. This is all I ever carry. It goes on and off easily, so you could even just put it on your phone before you go out at night. That way you could shed all those extra items before going into a restaurant or bar. Or, if you're the type to always have a wallet or bag and lots of stuff with you, this would be a great way to have the most important things you need all in once spot. So you could still carry all of the items you like, but when you reach for your phone, you'd have all of your important cards etc. as well, in addition to being a nice case. It's designed so that you still have full and easy access to the camera and flash, as well as the volume controls, the top button and silent switch. There are really no down sides to this case at all.

Ordered this case because of the card-holding feature and it has been great so far in that it holds exactly what I need (although I tried out the claim that it also holds folded bills, it didn't do much for me there seeing as it's a tight fit with even one card). It feels great that I can grab my phone with a few important cards in my case and my keys and be done with it - it's been very practical for school or when I don't want to carry around a bag. I was worried the color of the red case would be off from how it appears online but I was pleasantly surprised to find it's not the muted red I expected (it's not the brightest thing either - I found the color just right.) Overall I am very satisfied. The one thing I will say that this case is lacking is more of a grip to it. I also have a Candyshell Grip case for my phone and I love how secure my phone feels in my hands with that case on it - I don't get that so much with this case but that's something I knew before purchasing this case. The case also isn't as snug to the phone as I woud like it to be, but it's not too loose to the point where I'm scared my phone will pop up and the sturdy material it's made up of makes makes up for the fact that it's a tiny bit loose.

I absolutely love this case. I have been using it for almost two months now and find it to be the best case I have ever used for a phone. It fits the iPhone 5s perfectly, it does not move around inside the case in the least, and it is simple to put on the phone. When laying my phone on a flat surface face down, the screen does not come into contact with the surface because the edges of the case extend ever so slightly beyond the screen, adding another layer of protection to keep my phone from being scratched if it should slide across a table or something like that. It does not have a screen cover (which is a good thing to me as I cannot stand them). The case will hold two credit cards, my drivers license, and my thin insurance card all at once. It holds just one of those things as easily as all 4 - no slipping and sliding inside that part to cause me to worry about losing them. I do find it easier to get the cards out if I use only 3 of those 4 things I listed, but it's not hard getting the 4 out that I use either. This case was particularly perfect for me to have recently when I went to a football game that did not allow purses into the stadium - I was able to keep my ID on my easily without having to have my husband carry my license for me in his wallet. Oh, and the purple was the perfect color for bringing to a Ravens game! :)

So, I ordered a wallet style case from a competitor. It was twice the price and the day that it arrived IT BROKE. First use. It was made from flimsy plastic. Needless to say I wanted a sturdy case that was 1. sturdy, 2. secure, 3. could hold my metro card and debit card since I'm a student who is going to school in a big city. I also wanted my headphones to be able to be plugged in with out a problem and I LOVE this case! Because it offers all of those things with out issue. Yes it can be a little difficult to slide the cards out, but place the thickest one on the bottom and push firmly and you'll get it out - if you put too much in there you'll have trouble so if you need a lot in the slot, this probably won't be the case for you. I'd recommend 2 cards in there which suits my needs just fine. I'm really pleased with the thickness and protection offered by this case too and the price being amazingly affordable! This is a great case, the only problem I had with it was deciding which color I wanted... I went with purple. :)

Cette coque, est assez mal ajustée, ce qui a pour effet de rendre l'utlisation du bouton supérieur de l'Iphone très difficile à actionner. Coque pratique pour les cartes mais, pour le prix, assez difficile à accepter.

iPhone購入と同時に使用してますが、しっかりハマって遊びもなくフィットして価格もそこそこで買ってよかったです。 iPhoneの薄さはなくなりますが、慣れるとこの少し丸みのある持ち心地がよくて外した方が薄くて落としそうになってしまう位良い商品です。 nanacoやwaonを入れておけばちょっとした買い物は財布を出す手間が省けて便利です。

Very well finished, probably will protect the phone. But it is quite bulky, doesnt look sleek like a case for such a sleek phone should. Slightly disappointed.
