Wear the weight you lost
Okay this should come with FBI or SWAT on the back. I wear an oversized hoodie and I walk early AM. I bought this because I lost 35 lbs since January and so thought it would be good to remind myself about carrying that weight. You can adjust weight but I’m a meat head so I started with the 50. I’m mixing 90 min walks at least 2x’s a week with my regular workouts. I do a few hills and this really helps making that walk a great workout. Very comfortable and plenty of adjustment. Would recommend to kick your walk or hike up a notch. 🙌🏻😎 adding research: 🦵 The Biomechanics of Weighted Walking & Knee HealthContrary to what you might expect, adding moderate weight via a vest can actually reduce stress on the knees—when done right. Here's how the mechanics work in your favor:1. Improved Postural AlignmentWearing a properly fitted vest encourages a more upright posture. This redistributes load through the spine and hips, reducing compensatory stress on the knees. It also activates your core and glutes, which are key stabilizers for knee tracking.2. Enhanced Muscle EngagementThe added resistance increases activation in the quads, hamstrings, and calves, which support the knee joint. Stronger muscles absorb more impact, reducing the load that would otherwise be transferred to cartilage and ligaments.3. Reduced Ground Reaction ForcesSurprisingly, walking with a vest can lower impact per step because it encourages shorter strides and better gait mechanics. This reduces the jarring forces that often aggravate knee pain.4. Bone Density & Joint StabilityWeighted walking stimulates bone remodeling and improves proprioception—your body’s sense of joint position. That means better balance and fewer awkward movements that could strain the knees.5. Metabolic Boost Without SpeedIf you’re limited in how fast you can walk (say, due to knee sensitivity), a vest lets you increase intensity without increasing speed, which is often the culprit behind joint flare-ups.

well made and fits tight to prevent sliding around and k
well made and secure. very strong velcro and tight fit for the weight sacks stops it from sloshing around. it fits great against the body contours. i didn't buy it with the shoulder pads but feel fine with just a shirt underneath (a little temporary redness on the traps but nothing painful).i bought the 60lb and took out some weights to build up over time.really my only complaint is the front netted pocket piece is hard to access. would be nice to have a zipper there rather than the velcro from behind. i don't bother using it.

Great Weight Vest
Very impressed with the RunMax weight vest and price. It has held up well over the last eight months. It is made of good quality material, and find the vest construction excellent. Wearing the vest while performing strength exercises such as dips and pushups is snug and comfortable with no movement. I recommend the RunMax and plan to reorder a heavier weight vest.

It works, however, but additional shoulder pads
It’s a good deal for a 60lb vest. I wish it had a heavy duty grab handle on the back like tactical vests have. The pads that come with it barely do the job. I ended up ordering additional thick pads and using the ones that come with the vest over those, it’s much better now. I walking 4 miles and counting with it. I already see results after the first week. Hoping to get up to ten miles a day using it. Make it tight around the body. I can still easily tie my shoes or pick up after my dogs. 60lbs is perfect.I’d think 80lb and up is doable but not in a vest form. You need a backpack to put the weight on the hips not the shoulders.Just one star off as it should come with a single carry handle just to help move it around with one hand. Otherwise it gets awkward.

I'm getting a better workout
It feels heavier than 20lbs, so I weighed it. Turns out my scale is more accurate than my feelings -- it comes in at 21 pounds, and works like a charm. Get it with the shoulder pads -- it makes longer walks much easier. My back doesn't hurt after a walk, which surprised me. The balance is nice.

Great for a tone body!
Love it! I bought this for my mom and it was so good I bought one for myself. We use it for running, I bought the 40lb but right now I’m running with 16lb. It makes my workout so much more intense and my body more tone!

Durably stitched and well balanced.
Excellent quality vest. The weights are easy to adjust. The double belts cinch tight and the weight is evenly distributed.
