Best vented paddle brush out there. Really straightens. I want one everywhere like for travel and home. Wonderful

The bristles are smooth at the bottom where the bed of the hairbrush. They don’t have rough edges poking out like most hairbrushes. It’s not as heavy as most hairbrushes. The bristles are flexible & a thick plastic. The bristles aren’t as flexible as other hairbrushes I had in the past but those had rubber bristles & can be costly. This is a cheaper alternative. The pick at the end is attachable to the of the handle. The pick isn’t a sharp point. I did try it out when getting a tangle out & I liked it. It’s stays in place & attached. It didn’t fall off I was using it. It’s easy to flip around to put it back in at the end of the handle. The bristles are spread out enough to clean the hair out. I purchased the purple color & it is very nice pastel shade. It got all my tangles out easily & I always start from the ends first to work my way up because I have long hair. I didn’t loose many hair strands.

Hard to find a good brush these days. This one is great; thank you for a good product.

Dear reader,Of course buy this brush if you have any type of hair but me personally I have every type of hair its straight in some places curly in other in wavy in the majority but i have the most frizzy hair of anyone I know so I am here to tell you to GO BUY THAT BRUSH this brush helped me so much with my frizz its obviously didn't take it away but it was an improvement it is the slightest bit hard to clean but nothing too much it's not too rough to damage your hair but just stiff enough to get out all your twists and tangles especially if you're like me and that happens often another plus its super light and easy to carry with you were ever you go it is long so I wouldn't recommend it if your trying to put it in small spaces but I don't think it's that big of an issue and for this great of a brush it's worth it and one last thing because I know this review is long and not many people will read it but it has lasted me over 10 years and that's saying something considering how I treat my brushes (ifykyk) all this to say go buy yourself that brush you won't regret it!!!

So, I ordered this brush after a long and at times frustratingly difficult search for a "non-curved" (i.e. basic paddle shape/only curved along 1 axis) vented paddle brush. I knew that with my very long, thick, strong and extremely fine hair that I would need a brush that had a lot of vented surface area as well as stiff . After finding only "curved" examples of this I finally stumbled upon this brush. It seems to work well, is indeed not rounded like some of the other options and has plenty of ventilation, but I have two main complaints:First: The bristles are not as stiff as I'm used to in my brushes and they don't really provide the resistance my hair needs to be detangles (esp. when wet)Second: the picture of this brush shows that it has a two sided barrel (i.e. from the top view there is a front face with the bristles attached and a back face which mirrors the front but w/o bristles) but the brush I received is has only a single surface with the bristles. I would have liked the extra strength and heft the back piece of plastic would have provided and indeed decided on this brush based upon the top view picture. It seems that perhaps Olivia Garden once sold this brush with the two-faced design but now all of the retailers and Olivia Garden website show only a single face. So BEWARE.Other than that, this is definitely exactly what I was looking for. Though I will still be on the hunt for a brush that can deliver as much as this one as well as avoid the two issues I had.

Ditched my hard bristle brush and now massage my scalp daily by brushing with my new Olivia brand brush. Has a great feel!

Had since February and noticed recently that there is a bristle bent. I don't think it was like that when I received it.
