Dark color as the picture and big enough! The material feels much more comfortable and most likely to keep me warm well enough for the winter! I'm the type of person who dislike cotton blanket and have been looking for a softer touch. While the material is close to cotton, but I can tolerate well enough and found it nice and soft. It's quite fluffy and big! All I need for the simple things which was a sham and a comforter, which fits my needs and great prices I can't argue while on sale! (: Black would have been my second choice, but couldn't find a purple one, but this deal meets what I'm looking for and won't argue the idea. It's perfect for the dorm, especially the beds are known to be twin extra long and I need size specifically! It works out great!EDITED: *11/2/15* I am currently in college with this blanket and this blanket is already keeping me warm enough! It kept me warm enough that I ended up kicking off my bed in the first few hours. This is definitely a good winter material to be prepared for and I don't like being cold at all! I will update more when winter becomes bitter cold and see how warm it keeps me. Other than that, it seems to pick up lints, but better off get a lint rollers or wash it more often. It's not a big deal.

Before buying this, I tried a cheaper one which looked great online but was about as thick as a couple of sheets. This one arrived in a big box, which was a good sign. It's fluffy, warm, well made, and looks great. 4 starts instead of 5 because I was expecting something just a bit bulkier for the money.

I had a cheap comforter from Walmart for years and it was wearing out and wasn't very soft on your skin. After repainting my bedroom walls, I wanted something that was simple looking, no silly designs..just a minimalistic design. This comforter fit the bill perfect. I couldn't be happier. Its cool and soft on your skin, I sleep so much better now. Its winter time here, so I don't know how it will feel during the summer months.Couple things to note is that it says it comes with a sham set, I miss read that thought it came with TWO shams instead of one..so maybe they should reword it so you know EXACTLY what you are going to get. I use two pillows, so one sham wasn't going to work..so I bought a couple grey pillow cases and while they don't match 100 percent, I still think it looks great.Also, if you have pets..especially ones with sharp claws, becareful! The material is really delicate and won't take much to cut or puncture. I already have a few holes from my cat.I was worried that the microfiber material would attract cat hair..but it actually doesn't and if there is hair, it swipes off really easy. A lot better than my old one anyways!Oh a good note, when washed it dries very fast!!I'm happy with it overall.

My son upgraded to a twin XL bed last year and I quickly learned that twin XL bedding is not nearly as easy to come by as the more standard bed sizes. I was pleased when I found this reasonably priced Ivy Union XL twin comforter & matching pillow sham on Amazon. Besides sleeping, my son also uses his bed to play video games, do homework and even have snacks (tsk, tsk!), so I wash the comforter frequently. It has been nearly 9 months, and it is holding up well. I just obtained another comforter set so I can alternate between the two sets. Although they are the same dimensions, this Ivy Union comforter has more plush fill and weighs over a half pound more than the other comforter. It is definitely a good comforter for the price. Would recommend.

My son brought this to college with him, so I don't really know how it's going to stand the test of time yet. What I do know is that it fit the dorm bed fine, was smooth and soft to the touch ( not plastic/ sandpaper feeling at all) and is the right color for Ohio State without being too obviously "rah -rah" because that wouldn't be "cool". ;-)I did run it through a quick wash cycle and through the dryer before he left so it would smell more like home and the red did bleed a little, so I would say beware of that the first few times and wash it by itself. (The sham fit a standard/ queen size pillow btw)

These are better than I expected! I love them. Perfect fit, feel, color. Will get more in different color when I update another room.

I'm not good at writing reviews, but this is a very nice comforter. I was worried that it would show lint, it does not. We got our 15-year old son a twin XL bed and needed a new comforter - this is very nice. I highly recommend. The price was right too.Update: I wanted to give an update after we washed this comforter. We took it to a laundromat for a larger commercial washer - and commercial dryer. It came out brand new. I was so worried it was going to fade, but it didn't - still looks brand new. Personally, I would not put this in your regular washing machine at home.
