Great replacement battery at a great price

Very fast charge and so far has lasted longer than the stock battery, which is should being twice the capacity.I just want to say here as well that the initial battery I received was defective. The charger indicated it was charged as soon as I put in the battery yet it wouldn't power the camera. I contacted SterlingTEK and they replied within a couple hours offering to send a replacement and a free charger. The replacement and charger both work perfectly. Any product line can have a few duds so I'm not dropping any stars since the replacement has been just what I wanted.

I have used this battery for about 30 days now and it has performed well. The battery that came with my Canon Elph is a 700 mAh battery and it lasts about as long as this battery does. On my recent vacation I used both batteries heavily and both batteries would last around 1.5 days of heavy use. I did not take specific notes on each battery but I do know that neither battery lasted 2 days of use and both would usually last over 1 full day. The price is right and the battery works well as long as you don't expect twice the output.

The battery does work I just have to keep taking it out of the camera keep charging it that is what I did with my last one so I bought a new one and it does the same thing it last for a little bit. I guess they’re made that way. I do plug it in and the light turned green, but then it turns red again not too long after that but it’s good enough for what I need

Actually haven't had it long enough to comment on battery life or longevity. The batteries for the Canon A,G, and Elph series generally last long enough to serve. If the question refers to life of one charge, I still consider them good. As a value for the money, they are a trivial cost.

After an extensive search on Amazon for a replacement battery for my Canon SD600, I found this one with good reviews! Was so thrilled to find it - there are so many out there with terrible reviews!That's where the happy story ended.The battery received did not hold a charge, let alone an extended one. After 40 minutes of charging in an authentic Canon battery charger, the charger indicated the battery was full. The first time using the battery, it only took about 50-60 pictures (no flash, outdoors during daylight) before the camera indicated the battery was low. In comparison, my genuine Canon battery which only has 700 mAh could take 100-200 pictures before dying. Thinking it might not have been charged full, we charged it again, and this time for a couple of hours. After the second charging, the battery took about 20 pictures before the camera said it was low, and the camera shut off immediately. This is the 3rd generic battery I've bought and by far the worst.STK's customer service, however, was good. I wrote them with my complaint, and they quickly responded and offered to refund my money if I mailed the battery back. Amazon sent me a paid postage label, which I sent back and subsequently received the credit on my credit card.If you buy this, cross your fingers that you get a good one!

But not the same. Sure, the reported 1400 mAh sounds good compared the the real deal's 760mAh but the battery life is significantly shorter. Probably 1/3 to 1/2 as much and I had one of these arrive DOA. Hard to complain about paying a fraction of the original, but still not that pleased with it. I have the NB-5L version for my S100 and it lasts about 80% as long as the real one. I'm satisfied with that for that one but disappointed in this one. For anyone that's not shooting a ton of pics in an afternoon this is a great buy. But if you are shooting a bunch, you'd be better served buying the original or several of these.
