Atlas Obscura Page-A-Day Calendar 2022: 365 of Extraordinary Destinations, Bizarre Phenomena, and other Hidden Wonders.

I love all the different places around the world. I've bought this calendar for the past three years and look forward to flipping the page every day.

I enjoy reading about different places every day, but without a picture some of them make no sense to share.

This is such a fun and unique calendar. It has already given me a ton of new travel destination ideas and provided other extremely unique facts and introduced many places I never even knew existed. This was my second year in a row buying and also makes a great holiday gift!

The information was usually interesting but the layout was not well done. Latitude/longitude was worthless and a world map with a location dot would be better. Maybe one third of the pages had no photo even though there was plenty of extra space. (The old saying that a picture is worth 1000 words!!) There was often white areas that made the pages look unfinished. The whole calendar looked slapped together without attention to detail or an effort for an attractive appearance. Yes I can look up the subject online for more details but that isn't my desire with a simple "what day is it" product.

I always buy my grandchildren a calendar for Christmas. This was for my granddaughter who is a junior in college. She thought it would be fun to have for the year.

I did keep this unusual Atlas Obscura Calendar ....but when I got it, I did not feel it would make a good Christmas gift....& I usually give out at least12 Of miscellaneous calendars each year to family, neighbors & friends. But this one I felt it was too much different & since it was a late order on my part I had to keep it here.....but even so we don’tFeel comfortable using it so it just sits on a table& we still use Peanuts & Far Side at each end of ourHouse. It was just not something I would everOrder for us to keep or give as gift😫Of a very unique

I understand that this calendar is based on a book which would, I assume, have more detail and include pictures. However, on too many occasions, I find you get an interesting description but no photo - which leaves me unsatisfied. I think this is an easy fix - the picture doesn't need to be large but after the descriptive text it would be welcomed.

I expected that this Page-A-Day calendar from Atlas Obscura would be interesting and informative. I did not expect that most of the pages would not feature a photograph along with the description. Of the pages for the next week, only two have a photograph. When there is a photograph, it is smaller than I expected. The print is bigger than expected so it takes up more space. I got gypped and won't purchase this Page-A-Day calendar again.
