Easy install - excellent night vision - many install options.
Upon opening the box, the first thing that struck me was how much ‘stuff’ was in the box. They have included pretty much every wire, connector, and mounting method that could ever be needed.First of all, the 5” monitor can be attached to the windshield with the adjustable suction-cup mount. I have read some reviews where it was mentioned that the suction cup won’t stay attached to the glass. You need to clean the glass with a lint free towel (a coffee filter will work OK). A normal paper towel will leave lint on the window. Also, put a drop of dishwashing soap on the suction cup (spread it over the whole surface). This will fill in microscopic gaps that would cause the suction cup to loosen easily. Also included is a small stand with double-sided tape that will attach to the top of your dashboard. Third, is some double-sided tape for attaching to any flat vertical surface in the vehicle. You also have some options as to connecting power to the screen & camera. The screen can be powered using an adapter that plugs into a cigarette lighter (12volt) outlet. The plug has an on/off button on it that is illuminated when on. Really cool.Depending on whether you want the camera active all the time, or only when the gearshift is in reverse, will determine how to connect the cam power. Patching into a white light in your taillight module will only activate the camera when this light (the reversing illumination bulb) is active. The display screen will go blank whenever the camera does not have power.Patching into a running light bulb will activate the camera only when the running lights (and/or headlights) are on. You could also patch into most any source wire that always has 12v when the car is running. The kit includes some connectors that just clamp onto one of these power wires without having to cut or solder it.The camera mounts by removing the top licence plate bolts, putting them through the camera bracket, and reinstalling the bolts. I pushed the camera wire behind the licence plate bulb and found a gap I could send it into the trunk of the car (Had to lift up a plastic panel to get to it.).In the trunk, the camera wire & the power wire plug into a little module that transmit the signal to the screen. The camera has a whole bunch of customizable options to allow it to be set up just how you prefer. You can turn the backup guide lines off in case they are unwanted. Plus, you can change the width, size & positioning of the lines as needed. If you are using the camera as a forward or side facing camera, there are settings to adjust for that as well.If you do not have the camera mounted in the center of the vehicle, there is a fine tuning option to deal with that as well. It can shift the screen left/right a bit to compensate. All of these options are changed just by pressing a small button that is integrated into the cabling. Lets say you wanted to change the width of the guide lines. That is option four. Simply press the button 4 times quickly and wait a second. Now each press of the button will change the line width. When done, just wait about 3 seconds and your choice will be saved. All of this is detailed in the manual. The camera has very good night vision capability. The image will be grayscale in low lighting, but is extremely sharp & viewable. The resolution of the video isn't the greatest, but it doesn't have to be for a backup camera.Overall, I am very happy with this camera system and had absolutely no problems installing it. The instruction manual is somewhat brief, but has all of the basic needed information. There are Youtube help videos specifically for this camera model, and videos offering install help for vehicle camera systems in general. I recommend watching a few before installing.

Updated Review!
Updated Review...I was contacted by the company selling this backup camera asking if I wanted another one for free. I explained to them that after using it while towing my trailer over a weekend, I was considering sending it back to Amazon. They instead offered me an upgraded version for FREE!! I haven't installed the upgraded one they sent me, but I'm leaving my review as a 5 star for their customer service and willingness to solve the problem.Old Review:I have not tried the night vision or the low light, but so far it’s AMAZING!I never give anything a 5 star review, but this backup camera was is AMAZING!I installed the camera on my 2019 Keystone Bullet travel trailer. I installed the monitor in my 2018 Ram. It was extremely easy to install both the camera and the monitor. They were already paired together, so no pairing needed. I have not used the camera while pulling my trailer yet, but I’m assuming it’s going to be great!

Excellent for the price!
I purchase this item for my RV 5th wheel trailer. I wanted a wireless system to see behind my RV why I was pulling it. I opted to have continuous power as long as the running lights were on. I tested the system before installing to make sure that it was all working correctly, and it was. I like that it had a window suction cup mount for the video screen, so that I can move it anytime I wanted. Took me about 30 minutes to install after I read the directions thoroughly. In the directions pay close attention to section #12 about modes and settings. The camera qaulity is good in daylight mode, but the night vision picture is a bit grainy, but it is black & white picture at night. Overall, the price was great, the system works well, wireless funtion good and time will tell with the camera being exposed to the elements. If you want a decent, good priced unit this is the one.

Works great on 2004 F-250
I installed this on my F250 because a backup camera makes life much nicer these days. Particularly with a big truck and hooking up to our travel trailer. What was a 2 person job, easily becomes a 1 person job.As for this kit, the instructions are decent and if you have ever swapped out a car stereo this is no big deal. If you've never tackled anything like that, then watch a few install videos and you should be able to handle it. I do wish the cable from the camera to the transmitter was longer, I could have mounted it under one of my bed rails...as it is I have it mounted to a bed frame support under the left rear turn signals. You'll need some electrical tape, a pair of pliers, an electrical crimping tool, some extra zip ties to manage cables (and possibly strap the transmitter to your vehicle, and whatever tool you need to remove your license plate bolts/screws.I did not hardwire in the monitor, I may do it in the future. The 12v cigarette lighter plug has an on/off button, which is nice so you don't have to unplug it all of the time.Overall, it's a great backup camera kit for the price.

Great RV/Camper Camera Option
I got this for a bumper pull camper to see behind the camper while driving. Much better than just using the extended mirrors on my truck and a definite plus when backing the camper up. Hardwiring a back up camera is not that hard, even for me, but not when you want to tow something, so wireless is a great option. I was not sure if the signal would make it from the back of an 18ft camper all the way to the cab of a super duty 250, but it has a range of 60 ft. Still playing around with placement ideas, since the license plate on the camper is off center. Another plus for me is the monitor can be put away when not in use. And an added plus is that the customer support is great. They respond in an acceptable time frame with anything you need help on if you are not savvy with the instructions provided. Some units come with a coupon to receive a second system for an additional vehicle. Win. Win.
