- Brackets are solid metal with a nice flat finish. - Sissy bar is heavy and sturdy. - Bolts could be better quality (sissy bar to bracket) - Does not come with mounting bolts because you should be able to use existing ones. - I ordered the CORRECT one… a lot of people order the wrong one (bike specific) and complain about fitting wrong. Mine slid right into place. No drilling or modification (09 dyna street bob fxdb) - I did NOT need to cut my turn signal lights. The brackets had slits in them to slide right over the wires. - Loosened the bolts and the brackets slid in. - PERSONAL NOTE! Do NOT take the bolts all the way out toward the tire. You should be able to just slide them back. Getting them back in is a PAIN because the tire is in the way. I had to jack my bike up to slide the one back in I removed on accident. Jacking the bike up causes the tire to lower. - The back rest is a total piece of ****. But it is a perfect temp backrest and template so I can make my own. It’s thin crap wood if even wood and it’s held on with two wood screws and fake leather. However…. It seems sturdy and works. I wanted the sissy bar for holding stuff more than a back rest. BEST product for the price.

Well it wasn't an easy install. First it's an 04 Softail FXST, does it fit? Yes Will it work? Yes So the problem is the mounting holes. They don't line up. I can say it's pretty good quality because I wore out some drill bits! Had to extend the mounting holes about 1/4 inch to the front and rear to get good fit. Took a minute. Now am I happy? Heck yeah!!! Was exactly what I wanted! Very tall, old school, sissy bar. Very sturdy and the price made the extra work worth it! Super happy with the end results!!! I recomend this product,

Pretty awesome design but could have done much better with the back pad. Wood screws and a thin piece of oak behind the padding and that was all to it? We could have definitely done better possibly even using a little bit of helo coil and a little thicker wood. Also the hardware could have been hardened bolts and nuts. I'm going to have to find new hardware because they're already starting to rust and install was only about a week and a half ago. Also would have been nice if they would have had a rack recommended or that even came with this unit. Other than that, it really is a beautiful addition.
