Excellent product but make sure you get the knife the right way around
I just got a lovely new 9 1/2" chef's knife, but couldn't safely put it in to the drawer. Now I can! Admittedly I had to cut about an inch off the flat end so it would fit in the drawer, but with a hacksaw and some sandpaper that was easy. I also used the second one to protect another knife I was keeping in it's original packaging. As you can see both fit a treat. I noticed that a couple of people said that they had still cut themselves but this is because the knife doesn't go in the obvious way round. The slot in these is wider at the closed side, so it is easy to think that the fatter part of the knife goes here but this is not correct. The function of the sheath is to cover sharp knives and make them safe, so the blade must go on the closed side and the spine of the knife - the blunt part - goes on the open side (see photos). This also helps the sheath to grip the knife better. It would be really helpful if this were explained in the advertisement as these are excellent but if they are used incorrectly people can still get badly cut.

Great blade protectors
Robust, molded plastic with a felt lining. They grip a 20cm blade easily and keep it safe - see pics. Also work very well on my thicker 15cm chefs knives. Great value.

Do the job... Safe & protected.
Arrived when stated, certainly assortment of sizes, some too long to fit knives in the drawer when fitted so used a fine saw to trim them down and then filed the cut edge smooth, could do with more narrower and shorter sizes in the pack. (hence dropped one star) The sheaths themselves are a snug fit onto the blade with the inside coated in a fine down to protect the blade. The sheaths are made from a good quality firm plastic so imagine they should last quite awhile. Overall the blades on my new knives are covered and safe in the drawer so job done.

Safety first achieved
I have several very sharp hand saws, of varying sizes. The pathetic thin blade guards supplied with each saw, really are very short term reliable. The new blade guards are hard plastic and really do an effective job. My saws are now safely stored. In fact I'm trying source a longer version for my small bowsaw. Excellent and fully recommended

Good but remember to lift your knife out!
Bought these as we have a couple of intact sharp knives in the drawer (looking at you bread knife) one of which has cut a few members of the family on a couple of occasions. It didn’t come with any sheath or cover itself but really should have so these are a decent option. Truth be told they are slightly short for one of the knives in question (I knew this as measured but this was the most reasonably priced option) but they do stop the day to day accidental cuts that might happen when reaching into the kitchen drawer. One thing I advise anyone using this sort of sheath however is LIFT your knife up and out of the sheath, DON’T Pull it back like you might do a sword as you will end up with a much worse cut. As long as you follow this it will work well, made with strong plastic which holds the knife blade well,

Does what it says on the tin
Decent quality knife sheaths for the price. I have a variety of different knives, all different widths and lengths and managed to find a sheath that fit each of my daily drivers and still have them fit in my knife roll. Nice, clean look and yet to have a y issues with them.

Good
These are good covers, however, be aware they do leave fluf on the knives as the inner part is almost like a felt fabric. You'll need to rinse/wipe the knives once you remove the cover prior to using them, but other than that they are okay.

It does the job well enough, but a medium to heavy cleaver is thick enough that the guard is just barely clinging on. I gave it as a gift along with a cleaver, and the recipient reported they almost cut themselves as the guard slipped off in transport. Good enough to keep the edge from getting wrecked in a drawer if you're careful.
