Will this help with my husbands Carpal Tunnel?

A wrist brace is one of the first conservative measures for carpal tunnel syndrome. It's impossible to know if it will help until you try it.

What are the cleaning instructions?

I have two of these - both hands are afflicted. I cannot remove the metal plate as it is completely sewed into the device. Nevertheless I cinched the Velcro straps up tight and put them in my washing machine, with plain old laundry detergent, on delicate and in warm water. They came out fine. I dried them in my dryer on low. Took nearly an hour to get them dry but they were fine and completely usable once the cycle was finished. Maybe this method of cleaning will wear them out sooner but I'm scheduled for surgery on the first of two hands shortly so my need for them will be shortened.

Anyone ever bench press with one of these?

I have, up to ~135 lbs (I’m a 5’4” woman). It was fine for my wrist & helped me keep it straight. I think it depends on your specific condition whether you can bench press with it. It worked for me in case of wrist pain caused by a small cyst.
