Do these float if they fall out?

Yes and no. They have a hollow cylindrical shaft. If there's air in the shaft, they float. But if the shaft has gotten filled with water, they sink. So don't count on them floating, but you might get lucky. For me they're a tight enough fit that they've never even hinted they were going to come out accidentally, though I do wish they were guaranteed to float.

Do these shape to your ear personally at all like Mack's sillicone ones? How long can you reuse them?

They don't mold to your ear like Mack's. Y.ou could use them for a long time as you can clean them. I found them hard to insert and never felt that they were in properly. Doc's Proplugs were much better

How do you put them in? I am struggling to do so with my 7 year old

They may be too big for your 7 y.o. They are made for adults, but my 11 y.o. can wear them. Note the right (R) and Left (L) marks. Grip the thin fin-like portion between your thumb and index finger and push the round cylindrical part into the canal with the fin-like part pointed upward backward and to about 10 or 9 o'clock on the right ear and opposite (1-2 o'clock) on the left ear. You should be able to see how the fin lays in the pina of the ear. If the external part of the cylinder stick out too far and pushes the plug inward especially when wear a cap, then take scissors or a utility knife and cut it off as short as you want. It really shouldn't be there anyway.

Are these plugs good for sleeping

They are not good for sleeping. They are meant for swimming to keep water out of the inner ear. They don't block sound very well.

Le doy cinco estrellas. Es buen producto, cumple lo que promete, no permite que el agua entre a los oidos. Contiene estuche y este permite que los tapones reciban aire y asi se sequen y no queden humedos. Claro esto no exime de que sean esterilizados cada cierto tiempo. Los adquirí a un muy buen precio.
