Avoid Like the Plague. Not Hardened Steel.
These swivel adapters are mild steel and worthless. I read the negative reviews describing the pin coming apart and assumed the reviewers simply misused the swivel (like overloading them with an impact gun), so I purchased the set to try them. Upon receiving them, I noticed they were extremely loose like a worn-out swivel. Quality swivel sockets and adapters should be tight when new to where you can position the angle anywhere and it stays. These swivel adapters just flop around. I put the 3/8" swivel adapter on a 3/8" torque wrench and began to tighten a 5/16" bolt to a gentle 15 ft.lbs. The swivel adapter immediately came apart before reaching 15 ft.lbs. Inspecting it, I found that the center lug twisted to where the pin hole stretched and the pin fell out. I've included a photo of the damage. These are definitely not chromium-vanadium steel as advertised and as stamped on the adapters. They are mild steel and worthless. Avoid them.
