Worked wonders for me this year at the Lightning in a Bottle music festival. Wore it as a hip canteen on an old military belt. Chain became disconnected from the canteen itself, but this is a quick fix and really doesn't affect the actual purpose of the canteen: hold liquid.

The canteen is well made and light weight. The polymer lining looks to be thick and even. Capacity is exactly 1.0 liter - I could have used a bigger size, if available. I bought the model with the large plastic cap. Not as sexy as the metal cap with chain, but it does not leak and the opening is big enough that you can easily inspect the inside for crud buildup, and run in a bendable wire brush to scour the walls.. This is important to me, because I often carry a sports drink mixture to replace electrolytes.4 stars instead of 5 because 1.5 to 1.8 liters would have been better. As it is, it is the same capacity (or less) than the 2 bottles on my fanny pack.

It's a canteen it is durable though

I noticed that most of the reviews have complaints about a weird metallic taste but I washed mine out with soap and hot water. No taste whatsoever.The neoprene cover kinda smells weird but the water tastes just like water should: plain!
