This is such a beautiful set. Compact and comes with a paintbrush. All you need is somewhere to paint on and some water and you're good to go! Ill upload photos once I've finished my paintings.

Colouring in is the adult thing to do nowadays, and I must say it is quite relaxing. I'm new to adult colouring with watercolours but these paints are nice to use, they apply smoothly and the sharp point on the brush makes it easier to keep within the lines; I don't think I did too bad a job for my first time since I was at school. I used to work as a supply TA and when working with special needs students we would quite often do some colouring in with felt tip pens, so I knew how relaxing it was from my days doing that so could understand the appeal of this new big deal; we never used watercolours, though. I must say that it is easier to get a smooth finish with the watercolours than it ever was with felt pens and this is my first attempt, so I'm sure I can only get better. Hopefully, eventually I'll be able to create some stunning pieces of my own but for now I'll content myself with my adult colouring book.The set comes in a lovely looking tin that fastens with a clip clasp. There are 50 colours and you can mix them in the spaces provided in the tin to make other colours. The paint brush is so cute, it's tiny and comes with a cover that serves to extend the length of the handle when in use. It has a very fine point that makes it easier to get into the small spaces for precision painting. I'd say that you are probably going to need more brushes but this is a really good one to start with and for very small precision areas. I did find the larger area more difficult with this small brush than I think I would've had I had a larger brush for the larger area; I certainly want something a bit bigger when I do the sky in this picture as I want to blend blues and greys together.All in all, I think the set is good value and good quality and should be enough for a beginner who want to dip their toe in the water(colouring) in order to know if they can justify getting a more expensive, bigger set up. I think it would also be good for artistic children who like painting, as their first quality set to cherish and feel grown up. I'm very happy with it and I'm enjoying my new crafty hobby.

I ordered this for my wife who is far and away the most artistic in the family...She was really pleased with it and has stashed it away for our mini holiday later this month...The set includes..50 colours with a retractable brush and a mixing palette in a handy metal tin. Includes a swatch card to paint yourself...The swatch card really impressed my wife as generally the artist has to make her own (A swatch card is made so the painter can judge the true colours)A great set for beginners or experts!

I am normally an acrylic user, but I fancied giving water colour a try. I am really enjoying them. I love how easy it is to use and mix colours, no having to open tubes, no having to muck about with lids, it is a much cleaner paint. The colour selection is fantastic, and each block is a decent size. The tin is a perfect size to hold, and the brush is genius, it’s the first time I have used a retractable brush and I love how it keeps the bristles tight. I find it is a very versatile paint and I’m really enjoying exploring different techniques. They are very good value.

I was quite impressed when I first open the package, but not so when I examined it more closely. The tin is made from very thin metal and the hinge pin was not pushed in. Experience tells me although pushed in it will work its way out again.Once open you see that some of the paint blocks are not stuck in, others have been stuck in, but on their sides. It seems that little care was taken in manufacture and assembly.

This watercolour set is great. There is a wide variety of colours and easy to use. It is also good for beginners. Has space to mix colours together.
