CREATESPACE Trevor Noah: A Biography Booklet

Well I've just ordered this off the hoof as part of my boyfriends birthday present thinking it was his latest biography (I was told it was out) and it turned up in my mailbox and.. its a pamphlet. By amazon. Gutted. Totally not the book I wanted. Can't give him that. Should use my laptop rather than phone to order presents on the go. Had a look and this is a crappy biog. I wonder how many get sold and whether Trevor knows about it.

This is ony a very thin booklet! It’s not worth it, in my opinion. Very disappointed. But I asked for a refund which was given, but I wasn’t asked to send it back.

This item has arrived and I am massively disappointed in the quality. It was to be a gift and looks like it was printed at home?! 13 pages... really?? You know you are misleading buyers.

This is plainly a 'rip off.' About 20 pages with a few new facts, the book is merely a pamphlet with no author's name or publisher. "Made in the USA/Middletown, DE/25 June 2018' = only identification. Seems that this copy was 'printed' for me a few days ago and mailed to me. The writing is not articulate or well crafted, full of poor spelling ('pursing' instead of 'pursuing') grammar usage (' a journey that would embark in just....'), silly repetition ('culminated with'; 'reached its pinnacle' - how many times?!) & misplaced modifiers and poor punctuation - ('After rewriting another script...., Trevor's standup comedy routine...), and incorrect phrases ( a book title Born in Crime). Who are you, Will Stevens? Did you even interview Trevor Noah? I suspect not, but that you simply found a way (using direct quotes from interviews and shows with Trevor, his own tweets;) to pretend that 22 pages of loosely gathered facts could be sold as a true "Biography".......what an unscrupulous way to take the name of a rising show biz phenomenon and make money.

This is not a book. It's somebody's kid's sophomore term paper. I learned nothing important from it. Looking at it from my professional p.o.v., I found it had no title page, no statement of authorship, no bibliography, no footnotes, no clear publisher. The pages were obviously created by putting the typed originals on an office printer. Anyone who has read "Born a Crime" will get the authentic story, told by Trevor in his authentic voice. This piece of crap (I hate to call it that because I love Trevor and his humor/life story) doesn't even have numbered pages. There should be some way to stop the sale of this travesty. I'd like to return it & get my money back ($14 for Jesus Christ's sake) but I'm not sure where to send it. Like I said above: don't buy this. Read his real bio.
