Fits my Nikkor 200-500 like a sleeve
Perfectly constructed, great cushioning. Go for it.

I have the 24-70mm f/2.8 Mk II lens, and typically find I put the lens hood in another pouch in my pack and rarely use it, because it doesn't really fit natively anywhere, and definitely not in the large pocket of my cargo pants when I'm shooting. I shoot some pretty dark bars and venues though, and wanted a pouch I could put on to my belt (I chose a BLACKHAWK! Black Reinforced Web Duty Belt ) so that I could easily switch lenses, and without leaving a lens on a table or in a secured bag somewhere else that I have to return to if I need to switch lenses. This one works great. As wide as the 24-70 Mk II is with the lens hood in the storage position (petals facing back down the barrel), this case is a nice snug fit for that diameter and length. There is ample padding to provide protection for the lens once inside, and four different handles and straps to secure it or carry it - lots of choices there. Personally, I'll be using the main velcro strap on the back - I was a little concerned when I saw it was velcro, but it has a double fastening system: the strap that connects to your belt velcros to the back of the pouch (at the bottom), and then a smaller flap velcros on top of that, fastening to both the back and the strap. Very secure, but also very easy to get on and off. It's a bit bulky but that's to be expected giving the padding and size. The zippers need to lip over the padding a bit, with a bit of practice I expect to be able to close it with one hand. I like the small web pouch on the inside of the lid: gives me a place to put the rear lens cap momentarily when I'm changing lenses. Great lens case.

This Lowepro Lens Case, 11 x 26mm, is a near perfect/custom fit for a Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary Lens - including the lens hood when the hood is not mounted, but reversed & stored/slipped over the end of the lens. There is about 3cm of extra space between the interior of the case and lens; Good for an extra filter or two, plus lens cloth or other small items you may wish to carry. Quality materials & everywhere: thick & dense protective padding, solid zipper; clean & nice construction. The neck strap is quite adequate & fairly soft/smooth on the edges, so it won't feel as if it's cutting into your neck. The carrying strap on top of the case lid is convenient for quickly grabbing your lens. Nice to have a flat side to the case, so it won't roll around if you lay it on its side. Glad I bought it when I did; The price jumped about 25% in the last 2 months. (hate when that happens)
