Good boot but sizing is a little off
I have worn Merrell hiking/trail shoes for many years. A size 10.5 always fit me perfectly in every type of shoe they sell. So I bought a pair of these in the same size hoping they would fit as well. I would say these boots are about a ½ size larger fit than the Merrell shoes. (See picture that compares a 10.5 Merrell shoe to same size Nortiv.) I probably should have gone with a size 10 in these. If I’m wearing regular hiking socks, my foot slides around in the boot.I have some “Carhartt Men’s Arctic Heavyweight Wool Boot socks” that were always too thick for my Merrells and other shoes, but they made these boots fit much better. The shoes appear to be well made and even came with an extra pair of laces. They are much cheaper than any of my Merrell hiking shoes, and perfect for what I intend to use them for – mostly for hanging out at resorts during my snowboarding trips. I recently wore these on a ride up the Palm Springs Tramway to do some snow hiking on Mount San Jacinto and they worked pretty well. Kept my feet dry and warm with the Carhartt socks the entire day in the snow.I won’t give up my Merrell boots for long hikes, but these are a good buy for casual day hikes in winter. I would definitely recommend these boots.

Sturdy but small
All the reviews are correct. This is a good, inexpensive well-made boot. The material will last and it seems to be made well.I got my worn for a week on nothing strenuous like mowing the lawn and going on long walks and they seemed to fit really well. I then went on a 20 mile high altitude hike only to find out I needed a size bigger. Both my big toes’ nails are destroyed from on the down hill. I tighten my boot multiple times but there just wasn’t enough room for all my toes. I never thought of myself as a 12w but wish I would have purchased a size bigger to have more space. Also, maybe because of the tight space, the downhills showed me the cushion was not what I thought. I would step on baseball sized rocks and it would send shooting pain through my feet and into my legs.So all in all, a good boot for a few miles but nothing too strenuous. And I wished I would have got a size bigger. This may have solved the problems mentioned.

Disappointed that they had mold on the boot.
Boots fit good and look good for the price. Was disappointed that when I look the boot put it looked like it had dots of white fuzz all over them. After further inspection I realized that the bot had surface mold. Wouldn’t expect that from a boot that was brand new.

good quality affordable shoes 👍
Pretty decent pair of shoes, higher in quality then I was expecting. They are sized more like tennis shoes so keep that in mind. And they feel comfortable out of the box, if you're seeking an economical pair of boots I do not think you'll be disappointed, just order your tennis shoe size and they should fit just fine. An extra set of laces was also included.

Good Shoes Especially for the Price but Not for Steep Descents
Good waterproofing but not enough comfort for steep descents.I wore these on a two week hike through the Alps and then walking several days in Milan and Florence. My experience was that they are very good shoes for the price. The waterproofing and warmth were excellent. The comfort was medium. You need to wear think hiking socks with these for more than a couple miles a day. I did 10-13 miles per day and my feet hurt very much on descents where my toes pushed into the front of the boot, even with trekking poles. I made the mistake of wearing ultra thin socks one day and my feet were badly blistered and hurt even with blister pads. For strenuous hikes like the Alps I would suggest investing in more expensive shoes. However, for flat terrain these are very good shoes.

NORTIV 8 Men's Waterproof Hiking Boots Outdoor Mid Trekking Mountaineering Shoes Are AWESOME!
I am a man with size 6 and one half foot. I spent my entire life without shoes because no shoe store in this country carries that size. And on occassion when you do see this size in stores, they are always the ugly ones. Never as nice as the bigger sizes. But one day I discovered internet shopping, where there is a whole world of 6 and a half in any style I want. I saw these and ordered them. I couldn't believe how beautiful they were when I opened the box. I felt like Cinderella when I put them on. A perfect fit, and sooo comfortable. And I love the midnight black color. I ordered them again! And I will order yet another pair just to have them. Guys always ask.."Where did you buy them". I love them. Thank You. ~Joseph

Great shows. Great price.
My husband use these to go hunting in the mountains in Colorado. He said they were amazing. He walked about 25 miles in them to break them in, but never got any blisters or anything. They were very comfortable, but unfortunately he wasn’t able to completely prepare for the Colorado to rain in Houston. My husband use these to go hunting in the mountains in Colorado. We are both really glad we didn’t spend $200 on other brands.

great value!
Very comfortable! Value beyond my expectations, therefore a "5". My only suggestion/complaint is that the tongues are about 1/2" too short for my taste and the shoelaces therefore exert too much pressure high on my foot after a couple of hours of wear. They are even with the top of the boot but that is not long enough and not customary looking at the other 4 pairs of boots in my closet.

These are cheap for a reason
So brought these based on the reviews and the price. These are really comfy boots, from the first step, I mean probably the most comfy boots i have put on, they are a tad on the large size i would say but for my wide feet that had the added advantage that my feet would not rub on them or get pinched at the sides. and are still comfy. However they have lasted about 1.5 months before signs of ware, slight fraying on the left boot (see second pic),Waterproofing non existent after this point, thank god i got sealskinz for christmas. Now I don't think an average of 6.5 miles a day over very easy terrain, dog walking around a field, is a lot for HIKING boots. Fast-forward a month and they just lost the will power to stay together (see pics) i mean they in the middle of a scout hike just burst at the seems... I wouldn't have been surprised if it was audible. If your looking for a pair of boots that you get out of hiding once in a while to go for a walk with the family or looking for a pair, as you have a DofE on saturday and need walking boots that are not going to rub as you need them now these are for you otherwise stay clear.

Appear good value
12 months on... having walked maybe 10 miles per week average over the last 12 months they’ve started coming away from the sole so they need replacing. Shame because the comfort is great. Hence dropped from 5 to 2 star.Fit true and I have a very slightly wide forefoot (on one side!) but these boots are comfortable on both feet. When I say true, they’re consistent with a Clarks or a skechers. Very sturdy. I like a sturdy boot and would liken the feel of these to the Merrell Vero. Haven’t tested them out yet properly but having tried several alternatives, they appear very good value for money. After a 5 mile walk over mixed terrain: excellent grip on all surfaces, including boggy downhills which is where my old boots were failing, stayed dry though never fully immersed, slightly clompy on concrete paths downhill but that might be my walking style and might improve if the soles flex a bit more with wear. I hope the boots will give a little with age but on the whole, they remain a good 5 star purchase.

Potentially not well made. Split seams after 3 months
Really liked these boots when they arrived. They were a good price, looked nice and were light to wear. Unfortunately after 3 months the left boot has split on both sides making them unusable as it let's in water.I have contacted the seller as I would expect walking boot to last years, certainly longer than a couple of months. I will update this review should I get a response but as it stands I can't recommend these boots.Addition: I have had a reply from the seller who offer no help with the issue. As far as they are concerned once outside of the 30 day return period any issues are not their problem, so I can not recommend this product or this seller. If you require a pair of sturdy walking boots I would look elsewhere.

Tough breaking them in
Never heard of this brand so thought would take a chance. Had a tough time breaking them in as were very stiff at first but after a couple of weeks use have settled in and now very comfortable. At £39.99 these aren't expensive, but should still be of decent quality and do feel like they are so far. The cheaper build shows in the lack of breathability (expect your feet to sweat in these) but to be fair you'd pay twice as much for any significant improvement. These are a replacement for a similarly priced pair of Regatta boots (that I wore the soles out of in 3 months - kindly refunded by Amazon) so will see how these compare.
