Great set of binoculars
These are great binoculars. I bought these because I wanted smaller more portable binoculars. These definitely fit that bill. I pictured these next to my 12 year old Steiner Predator 10x40 for size comparison. The Steiners are great but not easy to tote around. These Vortex have great optical clarity, arguably better than my Steiners but at least comparable. So far I’ve used them while seated in a vehicle and around the neighborhood. I love the reverse porro design. It makes them very compact but with the clarity and durability of a porro binocular. They also feel very nice in my hands and are easy to use one handed. The grip surface on the outside has a nice feel as does the surface of the focus wheel. The focus wheel feels perfect, not too tight or loose. The diopter adjustment has detents that prevent it from moving once it’s set. If I have a complaint it would be that the eyepieces are not very comfortable when they’re extended.Overall I would definitely recommend these binoculars. They are good quality and come with everything you need. Also, the Vortex warranty is fantastic.

Nice Compact Yet Powerful
Size comparison to Meopta 8x25 vs the 10x26 Vanquish.Glass is nice- didn’t see any issues. The Vanquish Would enhance the views on any picturesque travel destination.Size is about the same but visually it’s smaller. The overall length wins when in glasses mode but it has some girth on the sides. The included case adds some its mass. Bag included is a cordora type with a 3/4” snap buckle that adds to the overall storage size. A thin neoprene bag with flat Velcro flap would keep the spirit of it being more compact. The grip texture is nice. The front less has no covers but has a recessed hood. It’s rear lens The has caps as others complained is tight. I would sand some material off the ring to loosen some. As they come, it seems like it’d be annoying trying to pry off caps quickly. The rear caps also lack a loop to attach to the straps. I would look into dummy cording to avoid loss.

Very good optics for the price
I bought the Vortex Vanguish 8x26 to watch birds coming to our bird feeders for which this has been an ideal binocular. Because of its light weight and comfortable in-the-hand design, it is easy to hold for long periods of time. The optics are also very good for the price. It has a large sweet spot, clear and sharp with good color transmission, only becoming soft at the very edges. Since it takes over 2 turns to go to the extremes of focus, it is sometimes easier to bring objects into sharp focus, but this may be a personal preference.

Awesome small, compact bino's
Wanted a pair of small, compact, lightweight binos I could carry around without much trouble for extended hikes... but also wanted something that was a quality item with clear glass, good magnification, and decent field of view... and wanted all that in a package that wouldn't break the bank. These fit the bill perfectly and I carry them often - liked them so much I bought a second pair for my kid.

Perfect to medium range viewing.
Compact and durable outdoor viewing. I use these to check my 100 yard targets instead of a spotting scope. The glass is clear with no aberrations. Comes with a nice case. I like them enough to recommend them as a cost effective optics option.

First Thing You Do. Follow The Instructions For Setup
I always carry binoculars in my truck. The old Bushnell's were beat up so I got these Vortex after a good deal of research, they are a lot smaller & lighter. I was in New Mexico this week and decided to check out the Rio Grande Nature Center State Park, which is a haven for birds. About 10 minutes into the trail along the river a woman headed in the opposite direction tells me there is a Bald Eagle perched in a tree a few hundred yards down. I get to the clearing and can see "something" across the river in a tree. I use the binoculars to see close-up but just get a very blurry view, even when I use the center focus---thought I had just wasted my money. Luckily I had stuffed the instructions in my pocket. First paragraph says setup diopter---did it and looked for the Eagle again, crystal clear view this time. Made my day when I see this bird who had been perched like a statue in the tree come off the branch like a dive bomber skim the river and back in the air with a fish in its talons. I marked the diopter setting with a dot of paint.

Wow! Can't go wrong with Vortex.
About two years ago while hunting down in South Carolina for hogs I would sometimes get placed looking over a large field. My little 8x nockers didn't help too much. So while in the stand I bought a 12x pair from Vortex after reading many many reviews. I couldn't be happier with them.Fast forward to this week. I had a little 8x Nikon pair of nockers that fell off my table and broke. I was just looking to replace them for the task at hand. I only needed to look 200-250 yards at deer in the fields below the cabin. It's not asking too much. So I bought a cheap pair of Made in (hina that had many good reviews. They sucked past 50 yards. After setting up their return I went to Wally World and bought their best pair of Bu$hnell. They were garbage. So I immediately ordered these Vortex Vanquish nockers. I was hesitant for two reasons. First they were the cheapest from Vortex and second their design was a bit weird shaped.Well both of those were unfounded. I could immediately feel the quality as I brought them up to my face. The image was crystal clear with no abboration whatsoever. Plus the design feels really good in my hands as if they were designed to fit them perfectly. This being my second pair of Vortex I can honestly say I'll never buy another brand. These fit the bill perfectly, priced right with the amount of quality you'd expect. Thank you Vortex!

Decent binocs
Bought for a trip to Alaska. I do wish I got more high powered ones, but these are decent. Good for mid-range magnification. Good clarity at the distances it’s built for.
