Nicely made but paint wears off
This is a really nicely made rule with a very clever design - enables you to measure up to 2 metres single handed without a tape measure flopping around, but also increments of 22mm. Love the fact that it is both metric & imperial too. However, after a couple of weeks travelling around in the rule pocket of my work trousers, the paint on the edges is wearing off. I imagine in a month or so some of the edge marking will scuff off so much, it won't be legible at all. Same issue would occur if you kept it in a tool bag.I look after my tools, and I love Stabila stuff. But tools do suffer wear and tear in everyday use; this is let down by the paint finish which is just not durable enough. So - great for DIY use or for surveyors & architects who have nice briefcases or flight cases with pockets for tools; not so great for everyday trade use, carried in a rule pocket.Eventually found a plastic version with engraved markings. I keep the Stabila in the glove box as a spare.

Almost good BUT....useless.
Nicely made and quality hinges BUT the measurements run the wrong way. The only way to use it is to open it out completely. If you want to hold it flat against the object to be measured you end up with wrong side of the measuring scale. Poor design. Mine is left in the shed. Waste of money.

Old-School Excellence
Classic ruler that folds up in a compact bundle. The positive to this style is that it doesn’t snap back like a retractable metal tape so no shocking slap in the face or injury from a slip of the lock. Love these and happy they’re still being made.

Great ruler much easier than tape measure for short measurements
It took some getting used to but this great folding ruler is ace for shorter measurements. More accurate than a tape measure and easier to use when laying out back boxes or measuring for fixings. And the price under £4 was an absolute steal!

It broke within the first 5 minutes
I’m still using it for smaller things but it broke within the first 5 minutes of using it. I did not misuse it either. It may have been a one off faulty stick but I’m not particularly impressed.
