You get a lot of erasers for your money. They work well but, are not as durable as the name brand. Even while going through them faster, still a bargain. Will buy again.

These are fantastic! I ordered these after blowing through a 6 pack of magic erasers washing 5 windows and plastic deck railing. With the magic erasers they started to split and crumble after rinsing and squeezing them twice. I stopped buying them years ago because of this reason, and felt they were overpriced for so little durability. I just bought a house that has nicotine stains on the vinyl window jambs, and I knew these sponges are the best at removing stains from vinyl and plastic. I washed two 37x59" windows with these sponges and there was no crumbling or splitting, held together till the end, and I can still use it. I think the difference is in the size. These are shorter and thicker, which makes them more durable when squeezing the excess water out of them. I have small hands, and I'm able to squeeze these evenly, thereby keeping the shape and integrity of the sponge intact. These definitely clean as well as the name brand, and are more durable.

I've read the reviews about crumbling but I've seen no crumbles and I've done some very intense scrubbing on pots and even my kitchen floor. These are great. I went in thinking they were just cute white foam sponges but now that I understand what melamine foam is and how it works, I understand how they can "erase" all sorts of stuff like stuck on egg, or that small amount of rust that can form on wet knives or even magic-marker on the counter-top. I did a really hard/good scrub on my clean sink and saw the invisible ultra-tiny food particles left behind by the nylon mesh scrubber. 50 of these for $9 - A great bargain.
