I love this book. The stories are wonderful and the artwork is amazing. I've been following Kamila on instagram for awhile and I'm so happy it have her art in my house.

(She warned you…) A true work of art , “I Can Be Myself When Everyone I Know Is Dead”, is a beautifully dark journey through the inner genius of Kamila’s mind. She weaves you through personal stories of great sadness, happiness, embarrassment and vulnerability all the while indulging you into the horrific universe of characters she’s fabricated. I lost tracks of the amount of times I had a relatable moments and testimony to the openness she shares with the reader.You’ll find when it comes to drawing nothing is off the table for Kamila, dead babies, satanic rituals, menstruation and a personal favorite of mine, “shrimp tits”. But this nothing is off the table attitude, is what I love about this book and more the artist. Her ability to draw innocent violence with a sprinkle of her humor will leave you in pure awe. FYI, she’s really funny, like really funny. (Could not think of a job she’d prolly hate more than stand up comedian lol).Congratulations Kamila! What an amazing accomplishment! As stated in the headline, this book is bursting with Kamila's beautiful dark art, which can be terrifying, heartwarming, and quite humorous! In addition to the art, Kamila gives insight into her journey, her process, and her thinking. I am in awe of this sketchy little universe she has created and will revisit often!

This book be pretty!! Niiiiice book, nnniiiiiiiiicccccce book... It tastes like love and doilies and the ever encrouching darkness that nullifies all joy! And paper. But mostly love!! Like mother's rough tongue on the back of your nape. So give up them money's and then the delivery slave will poop you out a book. And collectively we will soothe the spicy tears of the dark lord. I have never purchased a book faster. Kamila’s art is macabre and full of whimsy. I can’t get enough. I can’t tell you how happy I am to have a compilation of all her weird and wonderful creatures to call my own.
