I had purchased this book to attain a better undertsanding about test automation. I chose this book as Boby has great credentials in the space of Testing. This book has been nothing less of a brilliant book that has given me lots of guidance for TA. I have taken so many quality key points and have started to use them already. Thank you!

Excellent practical guide about Test Automation for Managers. There are many aspects I really appreciate about this book, especially for test automation professionals and stakeholders. The author has done an excellent job of explaining test automation, automated testing and particularly included case studies showcasing practical challenges and solutions. A wide range of automation approaches are also covered. The book is clearly written, well designed, and thoroughly reviewed, going from definitions to case studies. Aspirants gain an understanding of what is in store for them if choosing a career in test automation whilst managers get plenty of scenarios of how to build and lead successful test automation solutions. However, on balance, this is an excellent book on test automation, and I would highly recommend it.

This book is a reference guide for managers, leaders, automation SMEs, and stakeholders. There are plenty of books available in the market on developing automation framework from scratch, programming, scripting etc. However, not many books are written from the perspective of decision makers. Software test automation is a wide area, and it is not easy to encapsulate within a single book. There has been a genuine attempt to cover a holistic view of the various test automation approaches in the book, which may appear fleeting for the more technical readers. As a senior stakeholder, I wish my partners could read this book prior to proposing a test automation solution to me in future! I will use this book as a reference for when I face a ‘test automation’ predicament and recommend that many people read it to explore the valuable case studies provided from the author’s experience.

I like that this book is easy to read and understand from a stakeholder who is non technical too! From a HR point of view there are tips and guidance to identify the right business needs as well as in candidate selection. The layout is very pleasant and easy on the eyes, especially with golden nuggets, quotes and case studies. Plenty of real world scenarios that may be different to the theoretical view of ‘what’s, why’s, how’s and who’s’. A great read and I am wiser with the practical knowledge of Test Automation. Thank you to the author!

I would highly recommend this guide to test managers. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

Interesting book for many real life experiences and examples for anyone and not limited to managers. It includes many useful practices and pitfalls of test automation, unlike just focusing on test automation and automated testing benefits.
