Hi, I believe the standard is what my boyfriend purchased last year and he is 5’10”, athletic build, and it fit him perfectly. So without tailoring I’m afraid it would not fit you properly.

The size chart includes measurement next to that size. Use those to see what it means :) I'm 6'4 and 230lbs, wear 46-48 jacket and 38x34 pants and the XL fit well. You can be confident in those measurement.
