GraduationMall Classic Doctoral Graduation Gown

The GraduationMall Classic Doctoral Graduation Gown was everything I hoped for. It was well-made and felt very dignified. The fabric was comfortable to wear, even during the long ceremony. The fit was true to size, and I felt confident and proud wearing it. The gown arrived on time and in excellent condition. It was a perfect addition to my graduation day!

This gown was classy looking. It was purchased to replace the see through, shiney, doctoral gowns that were offered for sale by the educational institution from which she was graduating. She is 5'6" and we did have to downsize to this shorter gown because the original qown that we ordered was so voluminous on her. The 5'3" size looked and fit much better. This gown is a class act and well worth the purchase price for all of the small details.

Nice weight (3.0 pounds shipping weight) and not cheap looking! Everything is sewed and I was impressed with stitching/pleating around yoke. The inside collar is lined which support a clean look. Sleeves lined with light satin/polyester. I’m not sure how the managed to create sleeves with no seam lines? Sharp!The shoulder width is about 16” on a size 45. For comparison, another gown I tried was 15” on the same size. The only thing missing was a button on the back to secure the hood. But this is easy to sew on.I wrote this review because spending $300 or more dollars is crazy when this is a very nice product and likely the same “made in China” factory as all the other graduation regalia. Obviously, I may be incorrect but I don’t have extra money to spend on this 1x wear.

I am a new faculty member and participated in my first Winter Commencement at my college...which meant I needed regalia in order to walk within the procession. I also needed the regalia quickly (the vendor on campus needed lead-time of months, not weeks, to fulfill an order, and I just didn’t have time) so this doctoral gown fit the bill. Perfectly!!It’s your standard regalia, velvet panels along the front and three velvet chevrons along each arm. Add in your academic hood and tam and you’re all set!The quality for the price cannot be beat, and was a pleasant surprise! I can see myself using this as part of my academic regalia for years and years, with a look and feel that mirrors the more expensive $600 options that some of my colleagues opted for.Also, we’re talking about regalia here, so a “custom” bespoke fit for a gargantuan robe isn’t a huge concern for most—just pick the regalia for your height and you’re good to go.This is a great product for the price. You won’t be disappointed!!

This doctoral robe is made of a very nice and heavy material. It looks like a good quality cloth, and not a cheap polyester. The sleeves even have a lining in them. I will be wearing it as a faculty member and I am relieved that I didn’t have to pay an enormous amount. The only small problem is that the shoulder part of the robe seems a little wide. Mine is for 5’4” height and an average frame.

I bought this to wear for university commencement ceremonies. It doesn't stand out in any way from the robes that all the other faculty were wearing. This is a much better value than renting every time!

I was very nervous to purchase this gown, but you only get a doctorate once (well, for most of us)! I was extremely pleased with the quality of this gown. The velvet is beautiful, and it's thick and well made. Bravo!

My body is difficult to fit! I have very long arms compared to my height and creates all kinds of difficulty finding items that work. But you have come as close as any for this special moment of my life - a memory for treasures! The large part folds to fit my body so gracefully for standing and walking. I feel like you have honored me with your skills of needle, thread, and fine silks.
