Tough and durable, but still easy to use; excellent build quality and performance
I'm very pleased with all aspects of this garden hose. The overall build quality is excellent, both in terms of the hose itself as well as the fittings. It compares very favorably, in terms of build quality, with hoses that cost twice as much, and is miles better than the cheap hoses. Even though it is made of rubber it still is easy to maneuver and coil. It stays pretty flexible when the temp drops, although it is easier to handle/coil when it is warm. There was a small amount of black material that came off the hose onto my hands when I first took it out of the package, but after just a few days of use of dragging it through the grass, my hands stay clean when handling it. Kink resistance is excellent. On the rare occasion when I get a kink it's easy to work out and doesn't set in permanently. The weight is not bad --the 75 foot one I have weighs about 14 pounds, so even if I have to pick up the entire spooled hose it's not difficult to handle. Could not be more pleased with this. An excellent value, especially since the lifespan is way longer than other hoses (I have another rubber hose that is 25 years old, lives outside year-round, and is still working great).

You want durability and longevity?......this is the one to get!!!
At the end of the day nothing beats an all NATURAL rubber hose for durability. Not synthetic rubber, not PVC, not even Polyurethane will provide the wear resistance and durability of natural rubber. Why do you think they can offer a lifetime warranty?? Two issues with any rubber hose is that IT WILL KINK and they are heavier than cheaper plastic versions. The kinking can be greatly reduced by the use of a swivel joint at the male hose end. I recommend the EDEN 92285 aluminum swivels found here at Amazon. Be sure to use either plumbers teflon tape (1st choice), anti-seize compound or at minimal petroleum jelly between dissimilar metals to avoid corrosion. As for the hose, as best I can tell, the Briggs hose is the same one that Sears marketed and sold for many years under the CRAFTSMAN brand. Even the packaging looks similar! Both are black hexagonal-shaped 5/8 ID hose rubber, terminated with high-quality nickel-plated fittings. (NOTE: I've NEVER had a failure between the hose and the fitting) Unfortunately, Sears decided to stop selling this hose and opt for a cheaper overseas? version a few years back. I had one of those original green rubber Craftsman hoses for 25+ years before one of my kids somehow managed to puncture it. I currently have six of these hoses in various lengths and for the money, I consider them to be the best overall value in the market. Take my advice and pay-up a few dollars and get a USA-made all rubber hose. If not this one, then you might consider the Continental rubber hose at a similar price. You can thank me later!! One of the best hoses on the market!
These are of the same material and construction as my 30 year old craftsman lifetime warrantied hoses which are still going strong. Best hose you can buy. Good and flexible yet don't crack or break over the years. Don't waste your time and money with a different hose. These will last you a really long time.

I expect it will last
heavier than most hoses it is clearly built to a higher standard doesn't kink but it isn't stiff either good quality connecters the only downside is the black color which gets the water near scalding hot when you first open it up on a sunny day

Good product
Great product, a bit stiff in cold weather, and black sure heats the water in summer heat of left outside, but they have held up well, don’t kink badly like many houses now days and are sturdy

Best hoses ever made!!
I have been using recycled (tire) hoses for about 20 years. I still have the first one I purchased - still in great shape. I have purchased about 7 of these over the years and all are still in use. They get a real workout because I live on a farm. I wouldn't buy any other kind. It doesn't kink. It's a little heavy but not as heavy as a contractor hose. Contractor hoses don't last because they seem to dry rot. These hoses stay flexible. I have mine on a large hose reel on wheels so I can easily move it. I drain it and move indoors for winter. I have several of the 50 and 75 feet hoses.

Good quality
Works great, even in cold weather it will roll up, just make sure your twisting the hose in the right direction while rolling it up.

If You Are Serious About Owning The Best Available Hosepipe On The Market, Own This!
Hosepipe technology really hasn't advanced very far in the past generation, despite al of the 'New Technology' products that have entered the market. Sadly, the best, most durable, highest quality and long lasting type of hosepipe is also the most difficult to find: The pure rubber hosepipe. As the owner of a business that depended upon and used hosepipes on a daily basis on highly abrasive paved surfaces, it was imperative to have a durable, reliable (i.e. doesn't kink easily), hose, and this product is exactly that. Don't be fooled by marketing hype or low price. Rubber (not fabric, vinyl, foam or any other material) is the ONLY kind of hose you should be buying if you want a long-lasting, performant, non-kinking hosepipe, and this is it. The high quality attachment ends is another feature that you will love. This one can actually be driven over without suffering damage (if attached to another hose, or if driven over by a light vehicle if not). In other words, no more having to bend or shape a distorted attachment to make it screw on to the spiggot, because you bought a cheap, flimsy hose that skimped on materials robustness to save on costs.

I bought this hose for its high reviews. However, this hose is extremely heavy and it always bends and stops water when slightly moved. Also the fittings are not threaded well. I couldn’t fit anything to the other end. Bottom line, it may be robust but it’s setup and usability is a huge pain. Highly overrated.

I am in the UK. This is an excellent quality garden hose made in N. America hence it uses GHT threads instead of "British Standard"thread ( which are tapered). If you buy this hose , search amazon for quick hose connectors with the term (GHT threads) and NOT just say fits all "Garden Hoses". It needs the term "Garden Hose Threads" , with threads being the key word after the words garden hose..... Hope this helps everyone .... its easily available on amazon uk if you pay attention to the words i mentioned . Cheers
