Building on the information in the first edition, this revision includes more information on use of natural dyes in woven shibori. Catherine's instructions for shibori and dyeing are clear, comprehensive and pretty much the only place where you will find this information. Her first edition went out of print and was difficult to find. So pleased that it has been re-issued; the additional instructions on natural dyeing, mordant discharge and printing are worth having for themselves. Many wonderful photos of completed work. Worth having in your library.

My copy arrived today and I am thrilled with it. My brain is on fire with new ideas. The directions are clear but are intended for someone who has done a bit of weaving already. There are both 4-shaft and 8-shaft loom directions. The section on natural dyeing is quite interesting, even for someone like me who isn't into natural dyes.

I have taken a workshop with Catharine and she is a font of knowledge.. I had the earlier version of this book but decided to splurge and get the new one. Very happy with the purchase and the information.. Her techniques and instructions are clear and I love the pictures.

This book is rocking my world right now. A a weaver and a passionate natural dyer this book is really inspiring. Good information on Michel Garcia's organic indigo vat that uses fructose. The whole concept of weaving shibori is brilliant to say the least.

Best book for any weaver interested in Shibori weaving and dyeing!

This is a well organized, well photographed weaving book. The information is clearly presented. I highly recommend this book.

I love Catherine Ellis books. She is so informative and she has included more information on natural dyeing than the last book.
