It does work, however, you need to treat with the Zeno as soon as you notice the blemish starting. I do not have acne, so I wanted to clear that up -- no pun intended. I do, however, have the occasional pore that gets bacterialized and sets up a red bump. The treatment is fast and easy, and it is effective, as the product description claims. The leather carrying case is handy, but the so-called mirror (it is really a cheap piece of plastic with silver coating on it) is useless, and I'm not even sure why it was placed in the leather case to begin with.
