Great for monitoring your small equipment
Exactly as described and expected. Very Satisfied. Really great tool.

Best digital small engine tach out there
The wires are really long and have a connector so you can disconnect them, they can also be turned off unlike other small tachs. only downside is the batteries dont last nearly as long, in my experience it needs to be replaced every 3-4 months.

Price is fitting
Cons:First time I unplugged the leads after test fitting, all three wires came out of the coupler. If you're familiar with R.C. cars, it has a connector much like a servo would have, except the wire aren't crimped into the metal parts. The only thing holding them to in place is piece of heat shrink that's around the case of the 3 wires and the plastic part of the connector. So I just soldered it back together, and it works. If you have a soldering iron, not too big of a deal, just slightly annoying. If you don't, well I suggest never unplugging the leads. There's also no mention in the instructions of where you should put the ring terminal for the heat sensor. A quick Google search will tell you it actually goes under the spark plug. The instructions are a little difficult to read, and obviously translated by someone who's first language was not English. Again, not a big deal, but I've never heard of a spark plug cap refered to as a "pencil style" as it's put. So to clarify that for anyone, 4 stroke engines need the yellow wire wrapped around the boot of the spark plug wire, 2 strokes need the yellow wire wrapped around the actual spark plug wire, just above the boot.Pros:Its a cool little gadget with a lot of functions. Perfect for my Craftsman DLT 3000 riding mower cause I can finally set the idle correctly and monitor the rpms. If you've ever owned a single cylinder OHV Briggs Intek engine, then you know that it's already living on borrowed time and it can get hot pretty quick from slightly low oil, or grass in the cooling fins, or its head gasket (which is seemingly set to self destruct if you just look at it wrong) and they throw rods, drop valve seats, and the rings will be gapped so huge you'll wonder if they're even the correct ones for the engine cause the piston slap is ridiculous. Air cooled engines also need the correct idle speed for the fan to blow enough air to keep it from over heating, you also dont want it to rev too high cause it will detonate. (Dont even get me started on the cam decompression lever, also a source of self destruction) so to me, having a tachometer is essential to keep one alive, so is a temperature reading to help you establish if the air/fuel ratio is good. Once i find out what that temperature is actually supposed to be for this engine, ill be set.Just buy the dam thing. Its cheep and it works. If you're handy, you can figure it out.

Waste of money
Don't waste your money junk it never shuts off so eats batteries and tec is operatic not accurate at all I had it in use for 2 weeks and it quite working all together JUNK
User
super easy and beast the other stuff by a long shot saves money
quick and easy to install. just grab your necessary tools before hand and its easy i put it on my xr150l. took five minutes only thing is its a lot of setting up but all I need is temp and tach so i didn't focus on all the other stuff just that. reads accurate and shows proper tach and temp levels when reading but doesn't turn off unless you do does have replace battery so that's good.

Cable looks terrible and will look horrible on my new bike. See, short tutorial on light issue.
Edit 2, short tutorial on 'light';When it is cloudy or dark the light is useful, the manual indicatesthis method, but the manual and menu/select is chinglish and notvery clear.Default display (this is what shows on screen when you haven't touchedany buttons for a minute or so... The display shows hours, Temp, and Time, now push in and hold 'S' until time on screen flashes, let go of S , now pressM (mode) 11 times (lol) and you will be at 'Light' flashing, now press S untilit says on , off , or auto, whichever you prefer, then do nothing and just waita min, and your selection will be saved. (I upped my rating a couple stars, sinceI at least got the light issue figured out, still should have a separate light buttonthough.)Edit 1;There isn't really anything like this available inthis price range, or any price for that matter thatincludes rpm, temp, hours, alerts etc, howeversome horrible issues;-I have a 4st, needs to be on 2st to read rpmsproperly (thanks to another reviewer that alertedus to this, found 'that' hack to make it work).-The temp prob to spark plug ring 'Crimp' is largerI lucked out and got it to fit without stripping theplug threads as it's so large, you may not haveroom in the plug area to interface properly, alsothe ring is very larger, luckily the bike I have hasthe larger size plug, a smaller plug may not seatair tight due to the large ring.-Only two programming buttons, 3 would make lifeso much simpler.- Should be a separate light on/off switch or accuratemeans of turning on and off......(this light issue erased, figured it out)I've gone through this aspect of the feature a dozentimes at least, trying variations, nothing allows youto even get to the 'light' one time and turn it on or off, hold the scroll button for a long time the first time aroundfor example and when you're on 'light' , it will bump overto 'TIME' and start flashing, this alone deserves less thana one STAR rating.-Mentioned already was the very tedious and difficult batteryreplacement, if you haven't seen their 'design' , best of luck, plus the battery starts flashing 'low bat' almost as soon asyou load it lol (with light off even).-I would happily pay 3 times the price of this to get one thatis well designed and easy to use. This item works, andfairly well in some ways, and would buy again since thereare no items that I can find that monitor RPM, TEMP, HRs,and some other parameters.-------------------The cable comes waded up in a figure 8, I guess they thinkthat looks pro in the package, well it's going to look horribleon my new motorcycle. I spent 5 minutes trying to straightenit out and the photo is after this attempt. Not at all happy withhow this will look, the other extension cable is the same. There is no excuse for this shoddy packaging, there was plentyof room to simply have it rolled up, but I guess that wouldn'tlook pro to the manufacturer lol , I mean lmao, but not in agood way. I will update the rest of the product performancein a few days.

Must-have for my TW200 motorcycle
I have a TW200 motorcycle and this is a must have addition. It displays both the RPM and the temp at the same time, and I find both numbers very helpful on the bike. I mounted it just above the "light cluster" with the included Velcro and it works great (and will let me change its battery without hassle). Installation was just a bit tricky, I had to gently bend the temp prob to get it to sit nicely in the sparkplug (and then some insulation melted away from the prob but it didn't impact performance). For the RPM, I had to use the setting for a 1 cylinder 2-stroke (even though it is a 4-stroke) for some reason, but it works great with this setting.I now know my bike's "happy" temperature is about 265 degrees, and have an alarm set for 350 degrees and 8500 RPM. On a recent ride in Death Valley it helped me keep an eye on my temperature (bike reached 330!)If you have a TW200, do yourself a huge favor and get this. It is really, really helpful.Peace. Out.

All I asked for and more
This is the second Runleader I have purchased and I am completely satisfied with both. They are easy to install (although the instructions could be a little better / clearer), are very good value for money (half the price of the unit sold by the mower manufacturer) with multiple functions as opposed to a plain hour meter.Add to that, it was delivered by Intelcom just three days after placing the order although there was a small fee.Very impressed and I will buy again for my quad.

As described
Easy to install, but not working well it's reset everytime
User
Great product
great for monitoring temps & rmp also records operating hours
User
Works well
I used the unit in the car to monitor the coolant temperature. I found that the rpm reading is not very accurate, and I will try to wrap more than five turns later. The two button controls are not too easy to use. I forgot if there was manual with the unit. I did the settings by guessing.
