I have an older car, without built-in bluetooth audio, so I've tried a bunch of transmitters. They always seem to be spotty. With my old phone, I could use a plug to at least connect the phone to the transmitter, which seemed to work, but now phones no longer have 3.5 plug capacity.This one keeps good connectivity between the phone and the transmitter, and then between the transmitter and the car radio. Maybe it's because it's in a better position in the car -- I can mount it on the dash instead way down by the passenger's legs. And I also love that I can READ the numbers if I have to change station frequencies while traveling.I mostly listen to podcasts and audiobooks while in the car, so I can't comment about music sound quality, but for spoken word, it is clear and easy to use. It connects automatically when I get in the car with my phone, so there's no fumbling around to get a connection.I'm really looking forward to my next road trip.

I had the Nulaxy one for over a year (actually had to replace it twice in that time). I was onto my third replacement in less than 2 years because it kept disconnecting from the power. Then I went through buying 4 different others until I found this. Returned them all and kept this one.Doesn't disconnect from the power, sound is great, and it has all the frequencies I need. The only frequency that works in my area is 87.9 and I was surprised to find not all transmitters go to that range. This one does.In addition, some other transmitters would have overpowered from other nearby radios or transmitters and you'd get massive interference just driving down the road. Don't have that problem with this one.All in all, this is the absolute BEST Bluetooth transmitter I have ever had.

Once paired with a Bluetooth phone, the FM transmitter has decent sound transmission considering the signal starts in your phone, then transmitted via Bluetooth to the FM Transmitter, then the transmitter broadcasts the signal to your cars receiver. There's a good bit of waveband signal narrowing, so the sounds a bit muted, and mid-range heavy with loss of some treble, and lower bass frequencies.That all said, it does what its designed to do with little fuss, or confusion.PS contrary to other reviews, it does automatically pair with smartphones. Well worth the money!

This was easy to hook up to my phone to play music in my car. The sound is great for music but a bit lacking for phone calls. This isn't a problem for me because the main purpose is to play music or podcasts during my commute.

Connected easy, sound is very bad. Songs with base horrible. It also keeps dropping Bluetooth, so I would have to reconnect. Phone feature sucks. People calling are unable to hear you. Plus, once you are done with the call you have to reconnect the Bluetooth to hear music again. Thinking of returning.***Update***Find a good FM station. The sound quality is much better now. Still unsure if it still disconnects or if people are unable to hear you during a call. That could have been the bad FM station as well. Will do one last update once I find out.

I usually don't bother writing reviews, but this transmitter blew me away. Bought it for a weekend trip and it worked great the entire time. The signal it puts out is so strong, I set the frequency it was broadcasting on once and forgot about it - traveled 300 miles, one way. Definitely recommended!

Best feature is it comes with a long extension from cigarette lighters that are somehow designed at the bottom of the dashboard which is an inconvenience. You have to bend down each time to plug it in. This way, its plugged in and the output display panel is eye level and readable and you can use it with or without your phone connection and is handsfree. The station it tunes in is unoccupied so there is no static or any other stations nearby and is very quick to setup on bluetooth.

This was a great find. Easy installation and clear instructions. However - the sound was muddy and a little noisy. To make the sound very clear, turn the Bluetooth volume on your phone to about half. Then, turn up the volume on your radio. For me, this provided very clear and stable sound.High recommendation.
