This stuff is delightful
The only other plant-tie system I've used is velcro tape, but the rubber twine is far superior. First, you get enormous quantities of the stuff for the price. It comes, improbably, not on a roll, but seemingly just in a big jumbled heap within a mesh bag, so you'd think you'd have to take it out of the mesh bag and perhaps untangle it. But you don't; you just leave it in the bag and pull it out through the mesh as you need it, and it mostly comes out smoothly. Even in the rare it event it tangles when you pull it out, you can just snip it where it tangles and then keep pulling it out, and eventually the tangle disappears. As far as tying it onto the plants, you might worry about whether you accidentally made a granny know (which, with string, would eventually come loose) vs a square knot (which, with string, would stay tied); but it's really not a concern, because there's enough rubber-on-rubber friction that the knots stayed tied whichever one you use. And you might worry about untying knots; again, there's no worry, since that's easy to do. Basically, the only thing you need to worry about is whether you cut the twine too short or not, and perhaps need to discard a piece because it's not long enough to tie; sure, that happens, but you get so very much of this stuff that you can just throw a short piece away when it happens.

Truly the easiest and greates way to train vines to a trellis in just seconds
We were looking to train three vines to their news trellises and the sandwich bag ties I recycle for just that purpose were not going to work. After scrolling though every sort of tie device, I settled on this and so happy we did. This plastic rope is soft so that it does not dig into the vines. Yet it is softly stretchable so that it is easy and quick to tie around and attach. There is just a little give so that the plant remains undamaged. If you cut the piece just a smidge too small (darn!), just pull it a bit and it stretches a bit more. There is a handy little ring cutter you can put over a finger to quickly and easily cut the pieces as needed. Much easier than putting everything down to reach for scissors. The rope is carefully rolled up and placed in a stretchy net baq. WARNING - do not attempt to remove the rope from the bag. Find the end, pull it out carefully and cut from there. Otherwise the soft rope just tumbles out and you lose the neat coil which works so efficiently. There is NO hesitation in recommending this, no matter what price comparison you make, this is well worth whatever you pay!

Supports branches easily
I have a pear tree and the weight of the pears tend to make my branches sag towards the ground. I also have some other bushes doing the same things, so I bought this product to help support the branches and pull them toward the center of the tree. So far it's working very well. The line seems strong enough to hold the branches in place and tying up the branches was easy. The line is easy to work with and does not stretch too much so the branches stay in place. I would recommend this product for anyone looking to support branches or bunching up bushes to stay in place. It's only been two weeks but the trees and bushes seem to be staying in place and not leaning towards the ground.

Excellent stuff, agree it needs better packaging-- I'd pay an extra buck for it!
Florida weaving of tomatoes. This is where you wrap the rope or in this case (rubber) in and out of tomato plants, from one 8' T-post to another (approx. 10' apart). This works great and avoids having to use tomato cages. Been gardening hard-core for 19 years and never found stuff like this. Flexible, strong (so far anyway) and affordable for most folks. What would make this stuff perfect is a box or piece of plastic it was wrapped around to make its use easier. Easier to use, more often used--sell more. Just a thought. Thanks TIPU.

Finally a perfect color plant tie to blend into our gardens.
The stem green color is perfect to blend in with rose canes for climbers and all things growing. Such an improvement over the blue green garden ties, and Velcro's tapes have always been made that stand out. This is soft to use tubing and easy to maneuver around rose canes since it is stiff enough not to drop like twine, and supple enough to tie easily. I am replacing my espalier ties with it as well, and any branches that I want to guide growth on, I will use it inbetween small branches since it blends into the leaves. I will buy more to have a supply ahead and never run out. I expect it will hold up to the UV for a few years. If it gets brittle I will be back to add to this glowing (at this point), review.
