It Actually Works - but you must understand what you are buying
My 1/2 acre pond has been perpetually covered in duckweed since we purchased the property. After reading a lot of material, this was the first product I bought to try and clear it up. I applied it in the late spring after the pond was already covered with duckweed by mixing it in a sprayer, and wading out in rubber boots a few feet from the shore. I sprayed just under the surface, trying to walk and cover the largest area I could. After a month, I was preparing to come back here and say the product didn't work at all. The duckweed appeared to change color, but was still present on the water. After a very dry year, we finally got a rainfall and that churn of the water made all the dead duckweed sink, and we had a perfectly clear pond the rest of the year and through the fall and winter! I mention this, because some reviewers seem to think that you can spray this in the water, and all organic material will magically disappear in a week. That's not the case. You need to apply early, or be prepared to wait for results. This year I'm going to apply it earlier in the spring as a preventive measure. Yes, the price is eye-watering, but I've decided if it costs $200 a year to have a clear pond, it's worth it to me. 2 YEAR UPDATE: I applied this to an already-clear pond in the spring (late March) and the pond stayed clear the entire season into the winter. The price on this product is gradually increasing each year, so while it is very effective, I'm going to start looking for competitors that use the same active ingredient (Fluridone).

Clear water!
Wipe Out Pond Mock Review Remover worked wonders on my pond! I was struggling with cloudy water and unsightly algae buildup, but after using this product, my pond is clear, fresh, and looks healthy again. The application was straightforward—just follow the instructions, and it started working quickly without harming my fish or plants. I love that it’s safe and environmentally friendly, which is super important for my backyard ecosystem. It really helped control the algae and kept the water clean for weeks. If you have a pond that needs a little TLC, I highly recommend this product. It’s a great, affordable solution to keep your pond looking beautiful all season long

Worked very well, if slowly
Have been battling a heavy infestation of coontail and eurasian milfoil for three years in a four acre pond in Texas. Finally tried the Airmax Wipeout, putting it in at the recommended rates in June (later than recommended) by diluting several ounces at a time in pond water in a 5 gallon bucket and throwing it out as far as possible in several places around the circumference of the pond. Over the next 90 days we achieved about a 98% kill rate. Best the pond has looked in years. The slow rate of kill was actually quite beneficial as our really heavy infestation would have led to big fish kill from oxygen depletion if it had killed it all quickly. I wish I could give it 4.5 stars as the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was due to the cost. I realize it's several hundred dollars per gallon cheaper than Sonar but I was in the chemical business for 20 years and use a lot of herbicide chemicals growing hay for sale on our ranch and chemicals just don't cost this much to make. Having said that, if the weeds come back next spring I'm buying more Wipeout!

Took care of my watermeal and duckweed
It’s 2025 now and yet ANOTHER price hike. 15% this time. Getting old This product does have a pretty short shelf life and it does not work quite as well if it has sat too long. It even begins to solidify. I always like to be prepared and have things ahead of time, but this I will wait to buy until I’m ready to use it. I would recommend buying this about a month before you plan to use it or sooner. That all being said, I will absolutely continue using this product. I live in central Ohio and my pond is about a 1/4 acre 12ft at the deepest. Didn’t work over night obviously, but ultimately eliminated ALL of my duckweed AND watermeal. I applied (2) 8oz applications, spaced out several weeks, immediately after the spring rains seemed to be over. A huge added benefit was that it completely eliminated all of my shoreline weeds as well, saving me a lot of line trimming. For what it’s worth, I also applied 4 gallons of dye throughout the season. I will absolutely be buying this again in the spring.

It works! Duckweed is GONE
After years of battling duck weed, it's gone. First photo is at treatment. Second one is two months later. It does take time, but even the vegetation on the sides of the pond started to yellow about 4 weeks into it. What a relief and the fish can see the sky again and we can enjoy feeding them. Worth every penny and I have enough to do two treatments next year. Just be sure to follow the directions and accurately measure the volume of your pond.

This stuff actually works. Takes a bit of time to work.
Our pond is about a third acre and the Lilly pads took it over. We had a professional treat the pond with an oxygen destroyer and yes it did great damage to the pads but it also wiped out a lot of the fish. I decide to try this and two weeks after dosing the pond most of the Lilly pads are gone and the rest are dying off without any fish lost. I see babies all over the edge of the pond. 😀 I had to treat it again after we had several storms which raised the water level. I picked up a half of the amount I originally put in and I see it is working. Our issue is the weeds started coming up in the middle of the pond after the level increase and they went along either the entire shore line. I think it works well but I have the dosage wrong.
