I admit I was nervous about buying this particular mirror after reading some of the reviews but I'm glad I did. This mirror is crystal clear and very lightweight. I was worried it wasn't going to work at all because it feels like it's made out of plastic and it even says "Creative fun for young minds" so I assumed it was a child's mirror, for play but once you peel the film off (see photos) it is absolutely as clear as any other mirror and it was exactly the size & weight I needed at a reasonable price. 5 stars Great little mirror.*****( which by the way if anyone IS looking for a mirror for a young child, this says for ages 3 & up and it seems to be made out of something that is lightweight and seems unbreakable, just so you know)

From reading previous reviews, I was afraid this mirror would be low quality. When it arrived, I thought the reviews were right and was disappointed, but I forgot to take off the protective film. Once I removed the cover, the mirror was very clear. I'm not sure if i got lucky, but it doesn't have any distortion. I'm very satisfied with it.

I needed a mirror for my speech therapy sessions so I decided to purchase this. I'd have to say that despite all the positive reviews, I am not satisfied with this product. This mirror distorts images toward the bottom where the mirror bends backwards to create a stand, and it makes images and reflections very dizzy to look at. It distorts faces as well.I would not recommend this mirror.

Bought this for my guinea fowl. They love looking at themselves, but obviously a glass mirror is a bad idea for their coop. My main goal was finding a mirror that would hold up to their pecking (can't have the little suckers eating broken glass). I was pleasantly surprised by what a good quality mirror this is. The image is clear and bright with no distortions. It's holding up very well and only has a few small scratches on the surface, which I think is pretty impressive considering the amount of pecking it's been exposed to. If I needed a free standing mirror for my own use, I wouldn't hesitate to order another one of these.

I looked on Amazon for days to find a stand up mirror that was a good size. Finally this turned up in the Arts department. It is clear as can be and comes with a plastic film to keep over it if you want in order to protect it. I just peel back the plastic film nearly all the way and fold it back over when not in use so it doesn't scratch. Great for blowing my hair dry while sitting down and putting on my make-up. So happy I found this.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well this inexpensive little mirror works. It arrived wrapped in a tight plastic-bag cover, over a sales/protective cover to prevent scratches and it looked terrible. I finally got the protective cover off by using some heavy duty tape to pull away a corner and free-up the reflective surface. It is light and it sits well on its self-base. it reflects as if it were a real glass mirror. It will wear out sooner than glass. Overall I am very pleased with its usefulness.

Exactly what I was looking for! Be warned--it comes with a super super thin plastic film that's hard to find at first and makes it look like a funhouse mirror, or a dull matte paint. I thought it was going to be entirely unusable, but after a few minutes fiddling with it I got the film off and now it's perfectly clear! I'm using mine for up-close purposes so distortion is almost unnoticeable, but I do notice it gets a little worse at further distances. Probably not really even enough to be an issue if you're using it for full-body purposes, though. Props up perfectly and seems sturdy enough to handle a while in a box or luggage, which mine is sure to!

I bought this for my 6th grade son who was having a hard time getting close to the mirror to manipulate his contacts, and being a beginner, he was already frustrated with them falling off his finger. Looking straight down into a mirror on the counter did not work very well either. His eye doctor gave a mirror like this to use at his second visit and it worked so well. She placed it it horizontally so it had a slight slope instead of the way it is pictured. I immediately got on Amazon to find one. He is so happy to have it!It feels like plexiglass, but the mirror has a quality reflection.
