No News is Good News
Jovanovic's book is an interesting read if you like REM but there is nothing new here compared to the other REM biographies. I expect that this is because Michael Stipe keeps his personal life "close to the vest" (as he should) leaving biographers to depend on the band history to make sense of his life which raises the important question "Can we ever make sense of a life?" I hope not.

Michael Stipe The Biography
This is a very good book about Michael Stipe, well written and giving me a interesting look into his life with and before he was with R.E.M., it came from Amazon before the date stated

Waste of time
Either Michael Stipe is the most boring person on the planet or this biography is completely superficial. Either way, don't waste your time. I was hoping to learn something about the subject...not just a cursory account of tours, recordings, etc.

Great Michael Stipe book!
Very good read. Fairly indepth biography. Contains some new information and really puts together several other sources of old REm history.

No talk about the passion
