The smell is finally gone. My son has played with this and put it through a bunch of roughness and to my suprise it has held up quite well so I am bumping it up a couple stars.This was a gift for my son. The chemical smell gives me an instant headache. I wouldn't trust the reviews on here. Especially the five star ones. Please look at attach pictures and judge for yourself. Might be worth five dollars or less but for display. I won't let my son play with it. Looks like it will break very easily.

This one works as advertised, it was the perfect size for my 6 year old. However, the reason for 4 stars - The box it came in is less than desirable. I understand it is a cheaper toy, but the hinges for the wooden box are rusted, and it was chipped in the front where my daughter would put her fingers to open the box. We are trying to return it to get a replacement. I bought this years ago for my son, and it was fine, so I think it might just be this box. The spy glass itself is perfect for smaller kids and works, I never had issues with the glass cracking or shattering.

About half the size of what I expected. But still a cute decoration. The back where the hinge fits is very rough cut but you don’t see that unless you pick it up and turn it around.

Very beautiful, sturdy with quality materials. I gave it to my grand daughter along with a pirate treasure chest and it matched perfectly. She loves looking thru it.

it's small and compact but sturdy. My 2 boys ages 8 and 4 have loved playing pirates with it.

This looks good. I bought it as a costume prop, but at only 6" it is probably too small.
