Classic Ruskin Bond, just even shorter one page notes
Takes you to the hills and nature again. It helped me feel at peace on rough days and when my mind was racing. There is a philosophical angel in some notes which also is nice. It's literally brief notes, hence if someone doesn't like to read and ponder and hang around on same page for long then, you'll brush through it but may not enjoy since not much continuity.

One of my favorites
One of my most favorite book ! Time slows down whenever I pick this book to read. Its a book about small things in life , the kind of things we overlook and never take time to notice. A book which shows how life should flow naturally.

Beautiful notes from the hills
This book is the kind that one can read many times over. A sense of peace prevails over me every time I read a page out of it. Ruskin takes you to the hills, walks you through the woods, or along the creeks and you contemplate nature in a way you most likely haven’t before. Reminds you the beauty of simplicity and contentment. A beautiful work.

Vicariously experience the beauty of Nature through Ruskin Bond!
Excellent book - especially for those who appreciate nature and living fully! Classic Ruskin writing: grateful, in the moment, epicurean. He captures every beautiful and worthy experience and narrates it masterfully, effortlessly transporting the reader into his magical world of natural beauty and small nothings. Indeed the God of Small Things! ;-)

Quality warmth from a master story teller
If you're going to give Ruskin Bond a go, this is a great place to start. Warm and funny inspirational tales of a life mainly lived in the foothills of the Himalayas. Bond is more famous in India, but he tells a great short story and these are feel good and almost self help in their explanations of what has led him to lead a simple, happy contemplative life. Lovely stuff and a nice edition too.

A Book of Simple Living
This book is a recipe for happiness. The language is flowing; giving lovely details of the mountains, foliage and nature at its best. It makes good reading and you realise how the small small things in life can give you so much of happiness and contentment only if you look around. I could connect with the author. I love watching the leaves sway in the breeze and I love the chirping of birds, the sound of water flowing and the birds flocking around the bird feeder, mother birds feeding the young ones - where is the time to feel lonely? Lovely read; a must buy book. Worth every penny.
