Actually the 1887 edition
This is a perfectly passable reprint of one of history's most important cocktail manuals. But, buyer beware, this is the 1887 edition of the book, revised by an anonymous editor after Thomas's death. If you're a serious cocktail nerd like me it's worth owning both this later revision and the original 1862. But it's deceptive that it says 1862 on the cover and in the description, when it's actually the 1887 version.

Jerry Thomas' Bartenders Guide: How to Mix All Kinds ...
Jerry Thomas' Bartenders Guide: How to Mix All Kinds of Plain and Fancy Drinks by Jerry Thomas is a free NetGalley ebook that I read on July 1st (Canada Day).Originally published by, yup, Jerry Thomas in 1862, not a lot has changed behind a bar, aside from more fruit, imported liqueurs (aside from bitters, vermouth, and Curaçao, which are quite prevalent in these recipes), a greater amount of mixers, and, most importantly, NO EGGS.
