Helping me indulge in an old favorite while dieting
Deep fried ramen noodles soaked in high sodium sauces and broths aren't very conducive to weight loss, but instant noodles are one of my favorite things to eat, breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They're versatile and quick and highly customizable. I often have thought that if only I could buy just the seasoning packet, I could use my own non-fried noodles or even konjac noodles to really cut down on the carbs, calories, and fat without sacrificing the volume and experience of eating instant noodles. Between this product and the bulk Jin ramyun soup base powder that is also sold on here, I've been able to do just that. You can even mix them together and make something like chapaguri/ramdon (though I think it's closer to the real thing if you add the bean powder to a pack of the stir-fried shin light as it's closer in flavor. The Jin powder has a slightly tomato-y flavor that I thought made it taste a little weird, but that is not this product's fault at all). The real dish this powder is imitating is called jjajangmyeon, and it's normally made with a VERY oily sauce. I like that this is less so without sacrificing flavor. It's a bit different, but I like the earthy finish better actually. It's also a HUGE bag that I don't see myself running out of anytime soon. I opened it up and sealed it in an airtight container since the bag isn't resealable. Not a big deal for me. I'm just thrilled to have this as an option in my pantry. Don't get me wrong; it's not health food. I know the sodium is astronomical, so it's still mostly just a treat, but at least now I don't have to blow my whole calorie or carb budget on it when the craving strikes.

It's not what I thought it would be but it's still tasty
So I wanted to make black bean noodles and this does make it accept.I do need to add a sweetener to it to make it as sweet as I would.I'm still getting the Hang of it to get to the thickness that I would like but it works much better than having to fry some gook up and then making a slurry to thin it out

Great
I’ve been eating this for as long as I can remember. This makes it much more convenient with all the same flavor.

Great way to make JJajang quick.
This is a very convenient way to make Jjajang quick. The taste is great for how easy it is. Is it as good as making it the old fashion way?..no. It comes pretty close though.

*NOT* VEGETARIAN - contains BEEF and MILK
This item is supposedly "vegetarian" and one of the product images shows an ingredient list that does not include beef and milk. The package I received had a much longer ingredient list including BEEF and MILK.Also, when I tried to return it, Amazon's website wouldn't let me return it and it says it's not eligible for returns when on the sidebar of this webpage, it says that it is eligible for return. I finally got a refund after spending some time on Amazon chat support.DO NOT BUY THIS if you're vegetarian.
