PORTER-CABLE 20V MAX Cordless Drill Driver Kit with 2 Batteries and Charger, 1/2 Inch (PCCK607LB)

I bought this to go with my 20v Max impact driver from Porter-Cable. I've been 100% pleased with both products. It has excellent balance so it's comfortable to hold and use for long periods of time. It's lightweight but still has good impact protection to guard against getting knocked around. My impact driver has similar impact protection and has been holding up very well. It comes with 2 batteries and a charger. The batteries fit other 20vMAX tools and the fact that you get 2 with this adds significantly to the overall value. My only quibble with the batteries is that you can only see the charge level if the battery is inserted into the tool. I would have liked a gauge right on the battery so you can check the charge level before installing it into the tool. A minor issue, however. I love the chuck on this drill. It's stout enough to handle large bits, but also does an excellent job with very small bits. The ratcheting action really helps keep the bit in place without having to muscle down the chuck collar. Power is excellent. No issues whatsoever in maintaining speed when boring through thick hardwood, even with a less than perfectly sharp bit. When using it as a power screwdriver, the adjustable clutch ensures you don't strip out the fastener head. This is an excellent choice (as are any of the 20vMAX tools) for heavy household use or light-to-medium construction use. While it's not as bulletproof as Dewalt tools, it offers outstanding performance and an excellent design for less money. Highly recommend.

This is the best Drill I have ever owned for the little around the house projects etc.

This is my second one. I owned my first one for 6 years and actually wore it out. Remodeling a house and garage and use in my garage. It still works, just the clutch slips a bit. Great tool to last through the work I put it through. Definitely worth every penny. Great powerful drill. Battery power last a long time.

This Porter Cable drill replaced my old one I recently burned up. The old one out lasted 2 or 3 Craftsman, a Black and Decker and some other POS I pitched a long time ago. My old drill had cooling vents on the side. But it died an honorable death with a few sparks here and there until a final 30 seconds of thick gray smoke curling out of the vents. I went to Amazon and bought a new identical drill.(I thought) Today my new one arrived. P/C has made 3 nice improvements. They have relocated the work light, changed the design of the cooling vents (👍) and removed 2 bit holding magnets from the top of the drill and replaced them with a plastic compression clip! On the lower side.. 👍WAY TO GO P/C I love the improvements. PLUS the old kickass 20 lithium batteries fit the new drill!!!!!!! Can it get better than this........... ? Delivery took forever (😖) sorry guys but it did. Sure I didn’t pay for overnight shipping or next day shipping. But why did it have to sit in a damned Wearhouse 3 weeks before someone decided to load it on a UPS truck that delivered it it 3 days anyway???? THAT MY FRIEND WAS JUST DAMNED STUPID!!!!!!! So hey I finally got to use my new PORTER CABLE 20 volt drill. After three 1/2” holes drilled through 1/4” mild steel the high speed gears stripped and it was done. I’ll send it to their repair shop for repair this week. My recommendation??? It’s a nice looking piece of crap made by Black and Decker.! YES BLACK AND DECKER! If you only use it on drywall, plastic of sheet metal it will work. But buy it for your wife and buy yourself a good quality drill for the shop!

I have several Porter Cable and Black & Decker cordless tools, perhaps 15 or 20 of them. Along with these, I have about 10 batteries, yes, you can make them interchangeable. None of my tools are brushless. I decided to get a brushless drill-driver so I naturally wanted one to use the same batteries. This is head-and-shoulders better than the standard 1/2" PC drill. It runs better and has a chuck that locks. It has a belt-clip and battery charge indicator too.

Great drill for the money. I got this drill on sale for 99 bucks and it came with 2 batteries and a charger. You will not find a brushless drill AND 2 batteries for that price anywhere. It is light weight and smaller than their consumer level drill. The batteries last a long time and charge quickly. It is plenty powerful and feels good in the hand. The chuck is plastic and not very good. I stripped out a few bits with it but you really cant expect a top notch chuck for 99 bucks. I have been putting this drill through the wringer and it has not let me down yet. A consumer level brushless drill for around 100 bucks. I hope it will last a while but I will update if issues come up. As for now, this was a great deal but not always available.

As with most people, I tend to stick with what I know. When I first started acquiring tools I wanted to balance good quality against price since I am not a professional tradesman. Even so, many of the other "DIY" marketed brands were cheap, but did not have the performance and quality that I expected for my money. Cheap tools you have to replace every other time you use them are not cheap in the end. All that to say, early on I found Porter-Cable and have stuck with them ever since. This drill was no different, and the upgraded batteries have been excellent. I have their impact driver and 18 GA brad nailer which use these same batteries, all of which have performed extremely well. I would highly recommend this drill, and the brand as a whole, to any homeowner/DIY enthusiast.

This Porter Cable 1/2 drill has a brushless motor...very efficient, batteries last a long time. Considerably lighter than my old B&D that died (it did last 12 years). Lots of torque. Love it!

Nice drill and batteries last longer before needing recharge than I expected. Larger batteries are available, but I don't think I will need them. Light to carry but very strong.
