1080 High Carbon Annealed Forging Steel Barstock for Knife Making - 1/8" x 1-1/4" x 12"

Good metal works very and takes heat treat very good also. I did two primitive style blades no polishing. Hardened good and the temper did really good too. Ordering more.

Made knifes from it, great high carbon steel and it heat-treats very well and it’s strong as hell beat the heck out of a test piece and there was bearly any damage nothing that a bit of resharping wouldn’t fix I will deff buy it again for my next set of knifes I make

Great Stock for knives. It forged very well, very even. I stacked a few pieces on top of each other and ended up cutting and folding about four times. It held up during the quench, no warps, and was a very easy heat treat. Tempering was solid, and ended up with a decent bowie. Recommended for anybody who enjoys just playing around in the forge.

Just getting into knife making and this steel is great for a beginner like me. Appreciate ya guys.

Came flat, accurately sized, hardened nicely. No issues at all.

I am very pleased with my 1080 bar stock. The fact that its American steel was the ultimate factor that decided to purchase it. I was a bit amused that I ordered two 1 ft long pieces but instead received a single 2 foot stock. Which is fine. Id rather forge one sword rather than two knives. In fact I can't find this product in a longer length which I did desire so I hope they continue that policy.

I have made a knife with the blank and it is right on target., Very sharp,holds good edge.
