It's a good idea when the gas cap has a key. I'm not sure if each key is different, so what if someone has the same cap  Would the other key open other caps  I have to do more research. But its a good product.

Using the "My Garage" fitment tool here on Amazon has been a great help too, having only 3 clinkers over the years. This gas cap fit perfect and locked like it was supposed to and hopefully will not separate like the last one did.
