Review: Super bright lights and great picture quality - Honestly, this thing exceeded my expectations. The floodlights are ridiculously bright, which makes a huge difference at night, and the video quality is super clear. Motion alerts hit my phone pretty much instantly when someone walks by, so I always know what's going on outside. Install was pretty straightforward since I was just replacing an old light fixture, though wiring it up always takes a little patience. Once it was connected to Wi-Fi, setup took maybe five minutes. Camera angle is wide enough to cover my whole driveway without any weird dead spots. Definitely worth it if you want solid peace of mind without dealing with laggy feeds or dim lights. 5 stars for sure. ## Features - *Powerful protection for any property* — 1080p HD security camera for your home or business with motion-activated LED floodlights, 105dB security siren. - *Real-time alerts* — Get motion-activated notification when anyone steps in view of your camera. - *Customizable Motion Zones* — Fine-tune which areas you want to focus on in the Ring app. - *Light up large outdoor areas* — 2000 lumen motion-activated floodlights give unwanted visitors nowhere to hide. - *Sound the siren with a tap* — Activate the 85dB siren from the Ring app to send unwanted visitors running. - *Hardwired installation for nonstop power* — Easily hardwire to the outside of your home and connect to wifi for around-the-clock peace of mind. - See more. You only get live feed. The subscription is fairly cheap. Basic plan is $3 per month/$30 per year or $10 per month/$100 per year for the premium plan. The premium is well worth it if you plan on having more than 1 ring device. The basic plan only covers 1 device per subscription. **Q: Can this unit be mounted horzenal under the roof eve?** A: I just installed two of these on the garage ceiling in a four car garage and the light pods CAN be "encouraged" past their built in stops. Grasp the mounting base securely and very GENTLY apply ever increasing pressure to turn the round stem past the natural stop point. You will feel the plastic parts inside slowly give way and move past the intended stop. Now ... DON'T GO SPINNING THEM AROUND A DOZEN TIMES as the wires inside won't thank you for that, but I was able to twist them to where the "shades" were oriented properly and everything works perfectly normal afterwards. **Q: I have a outside light now on a switch. Will I be able to still turn the light on and off with the switch or do I need to use the app?** A: You have to use the App. But according to the Ring website, the "Pro" model will allow you to toggle the wall switch to turn on the light for 1 minute. When you do this, you interrupt the WiFi so the device has to reboot and is temporarily disconnected from the App but the light will remain on for 1 minute. And, you cannot turn the light on via Alexa. So it you hear something in the middle of night that is out of range of the motion sensor, you have to find your phone, password on, launch the Ring app, select the floodlight device, and toggle the light on. If I had know this I would have purchased the Pro model. **Q: What is the difference between the floodlight cams and the spotlight cams?** A: Also the spotlight cam I got runs on batteries that have to be recharged and the WiFi connection is not as strong. I also have 2 floodlight cam plus lights that are hardwired. They work better and no batteries are needed. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Extremely Easy to Install! They provide bright motion-activated lighting while also recording high-quality video, making them a great deterrent for anyone thinking about entering your property. I have one covering my driveway and another overlooking my backyard. Whenever motion is detected, the floodlights come on immediately, and I receive an alert through the Ring app. The app makes it easy to view all of my Ring cameras from one dashboard, so I can quickly check what’s happening around my home. Another feature I really like is the two-way talk. If someone is outside, I can speak to them directly through the camera from my phone. There’s also a built-in siren for added security if needed. If you’re already invested in the Ring ecosystem, this is an excellent addition. The combination of bright floodlights, reliable motion detection, and video recording makes it one of the best security upgrades I’ve made for my home. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ph/products/321614925-ring-floodlight-cam-wired-plus-outdoor-home-or-business-security](https://www.desertcart.ph/products/321614925-ring-floodlight-cam-wired-plus-outdoor-home-or-business-security) --- *Product available on Desertcart Philippines* *Store origin: PH* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
