I could go on and on about the legacy of the Watkins name. I still love that they exist. When my usual liquid bath soap went out of stock, I thought I'd give this bath wash a try. I have sensitive skin prone to eczema, and JR Watkins products has a good reputation for using pure ingredients.Pros: the cream is super concentrated! A little really does go a long way, and the suds are rich and thick. This "sleep" scent is pleasant, as well.Cons: for me, the soap formula is too drying for my skin. My bod skin feels "squeaky" clean to almost tacky, like my skin has been stripped dry. I get a similar reaction to Dr. Bronner's liquid soap products, even when I use a super-diluted form.Luckily, my usual liquid bath soap finally came back in stock just in time. I'll keep the JR Watkins bath soap for occasions if/when I need a more intense cleaning - or if I accidentally run low on my usual bath soap, if they run out of stock again.

I'm in love with the scent! It's very warm, inviting, and makes me think of a Church with how good yet subtle it smells. When smelled from the bottle, I initially thought it smelled like a warm, Ginger Rosemary however, actually using it gives off a different scent. The Ginger smells the strongest out of the scents but isn't overpowering as it works in great unison with the Turmeric and Citron. For me, the scent comes off as slightly masculine with the warmth that it gives off but stays relatively neutral making it great for anyone to use. The lathering was tricky at first as it didn't foam/bubble initially. I finally got it right and really like how it feels when in the shower. My only complaint with this is how it left my skin feeling barely moisturized. Think of how generic soap bars feel like on your skin after a shower, it makes it feel squeaky clean with friction when you rub your skin instead of feeling smooth. This is how it left my skin which felt really weird. I applied lotion after showering and it subsided and felt really refreshing. Overall I think this Detox is great and personally left me very relaxed and energized after a stressful day. I highly recommend using it first and then using a moisturizing body wash as it really felt like it stripped away my body's moisture.

This body wash is AMAZING! I am obsessed with products that include Sandalwood and this body wash is absolutely no exception. It's light, creamy, smooth and the scent is absolutely decadent! It's moisturizing and lathers well. Plus a little goes a long way. I will NEVER go back to B&BW products again! No need, they don't have anything that's even close to this scent. I can't wait to try other scents from this line! OMG - I hope they carry body lotions/moisturizers in the same scent!

I received a free sample of this and really liked how lathery it is. The smell is really nice. The only drawback is its really hard to squeeze out of the bottle, especially with soapy hands.

It came all nice with a taped top. The soap makes me feel literally squeaky clean. The smell is a little eh but it does the job.
