Worked Wonders for Ruby
My first experience with thrush was rather painful. Ruby had managed to get a pretty bad case of thrush in the sulcus of both hind legs, but more so in her left hind. I was completely unaware that it was even there until the hoof actually split! After weeks of trying Thrush Buster with little improvement, I did some research and came across No Thrush. Since Ruby's case was pretty bad, I treated her feet every day for about 2 weeks. The change was phenomenal! The crack in her sulcus began to close, and new tissue started to come in.Important things to note:1. No Thrush made sense to me because the product is dry. Since the thrush thrives in dark, damp environments, I decided to go with a dry product. It will still work in wet conditions, but try to keep the area as dry as possible. *Very important*- KEEP THE STALL CLEAN! Horses will stand in wet spots (including urine) when the thrush gets uncomfortable. I made sure her stall was kept spotless during treatment.2. Product application: Since Ruby's thrush was in the sulcus, I actually had to stick the nozzle way down in the crack (which she did not like at all). Simply dusting over the area will not help in these situations- you really have to get it in there. I lightly dusted the rest of the hoof just to keep it from spreading3. Be patient: No Thrush does not claim to be a magical cure-all. Depending on the severity of the thrush, it can take well over a few weeks to finally get rid of it. Remember, just because it looks like it is gone, doesn't mean you have gotten rid of all the thrush. Check will your farrier to make sure you really did get it all. When you scrape out the tissue around the frog, it should scratch out white. If not, you have more work to do.4. Something about Thrush Buster: the people at my barn raved about Thrush Buster. It does work, BUT I did not see the results I was hoping for. Secondly, I was told that Thrush Buster is like chemotherapy- it kills cells...all of them. It will get rid of the thrush, but it can also be painful for your horse. For mild cases, I would use Thrush Buster. For cases such as mine, go with the No Thrush.5. Home-made products: please be careful when mixing chemicals. Unless you know how the mixture will effect your horse, I would stick to tried-and true products such as this one. Saving money by making your own treatments can really backfire. Also note that some "common practices" for home-made treatments are old wives tales. Please, for the sake of your horse, do your research!

Works well if you can get it right where you need it.
I like this powder and it has helped my horses. I'm on my third method of trying to get it from the bottle into the sulcus however. It's not as easy to apply as one would think.

No more thrush in Florida
Best hoof product I’ve ever used and we live in Florida! Dries up thrush and promotes hard feet.

It Works
I use this when the weather is wet to keep thrush from my horses hooves. When Summer is here and we are in drought I use a liquid thrush treatment. This is a powder, easy to apply and works well.

Doesn't Work As Well As Advertised
I'm having a central sulcus thrush issue and have tried so many remedies, this being one. It doesn't work as advertised and is expensive. I ended up going to the dollar store and buying triple antibiotic ointment and athletes foot cream - mixed together and within two weeks saw better results than this provided. Its powder so it just rinses out the minute the hooves get wet.
