Captivating read
This was a book club choice therefore was very open minded. From the 1st page, I was hooked.I was delighted, as I have been so disappointed with my recent book choices - really needed a book I could get my teeth into and this was it!Superb writing and very clever suspense thread - kept me guessing (wrongly!) until the end.

A really good read
This was the first of Patricia MacDonald’s books that I have read and I found it an easy and enjoyable read. The pace was fast and there were plenty of surprises and thrills along the way. I have to say that I had pretty much guessed who the killer was, I just didn’t work out why Molly had been killed and that was the bit that surprised me. The story kept me interested and involved all the way through, but what was really amazing was how the pace speeded up towards the end and I found myself reading faster to try and keep up with what was going on. The conclusion did seem to come on very quickly and I was quite sad that I had come to the end. I shall be reading more of this author’s books as I find her writing style very enjoyable.

Absorbing and addictive Whodidit!
This is my second Patricia MacDonald book and I enjoyed this more than the first. Lots of interesting characters who develop throughout the story making a you dislike or admire them! The murder of a child 15 years before becomes an issue for her best friend because of a sisters deathbed confession. The tale grabs your mind and book becomes addictive. I will be reading another of this authors books very enjoyable.

Good
I felt this was a bit slow and average initially, poor Molly was murdered, next chapter Blair was an innovative scientist, getting ready to cure the world. A bit of a leap. However that said Blair, did care and her sister's deathbed revelations ki ked off an unexpected chain of events. Resulting in a good read.

Not enough twists and turns
Whilst I did enjoy this book, I also found that there weren't enough twists and turns for me and it became obvious who killed Mollie. Having said that I did find the book a large turner once it became obvious who the killer was. I felt the characters are very well written and interesting and this is why I continued with the book. I have read better thrillers, but on the whole it's an effortless enjoyable read.

Patricia MacDonald does it again
Once started I couldn’t put it down. A story that will draw you in and provide an unexpected finale of broken life’s coming together.

thoroughly good read with lots of suspenseful twists
Kept me interested the whole way with great characters that become people you can’t stop thinking about! Lots of twists and turns to keep you on your toes! A great read with lots of emotions drawn out from me as I continued reading! In fact I couldn’t sleep until finishing the book by the next day!!Thanks to the author for the emotional responses you created within me and for grabbing my attention from the start, and keeping it through to the last page!

Amazing read
I was satisfied reading a good book after a long time. Characters were clearly characterized. A bit predictable but the way the author narrated was superb. Hard to put down the book in the middle of reading. Worth buying this book.
